  1. Also, I noticed you have him on the PL twice, once with Hustruck first and the other with CGCboy first. You have both his names on their in both entries, does he really need two placeholders? The PL could get REALLY big if we follow that route.

The Mods have said several times they will not do that.

    I'm not understanding this. ???

doh! I quoted the wrong post (deleted it). What I meant to quote was someone suggesting the usernames are in red if they are on the PL/HOS list.

This has been suggested many times but the Mods will not do that.

More my fault, I wasn't suggesting that on a Username, but on the actual list itself. I understand they are already in purple, but maybe a side disclaimer with something along the lines that this person is also a member of the HoS/PL to let members know that they STILL have an uncompleted transaction on the books.

  2. 1 XRP = $0.015 USD

So for 4,000 Comic Book Coins you pay 0.25 XRP

Or $0.0000009375 USD per Comic Book Coin

So even if they issued all the 88,000,000 they planned as the long term cap, right now the total market cap for CBC is $81.84... Unfortunately, you can probably get a nice Avengers Annual 7 for this price, so they were right about that!

Seriously worthy of a face punch.

So it is really possible for someone to buy them all, and cash in on a cheap book.

I think the best thing for OP to do at this point is sell the book and forget about this whole thing.

  3. Time: Wednesday, January 14th, at Noon U.S. Eastern Time, 17:00 GMT.

    Initial Coin Release: 1 Million

Price: TBD (approximately .33 XRP or .000021 BTC or one half of one cent U.S.Dollar)

    Buy-in while it is hot!!!!

So does this mean a CGC 9.8 Avengers Annual 7 is worth $5,000?

  4. There will be a market for the coins, separate from the comic books.

So what are they worth? You say the coins and the comics are separate, but the coins are backed by the books? If someone in China buys out half of your coins and wants to cash out on day 2, what does he get? Do you sell the book and have 0 books left? Or do you pay him half of the CPG value of your book? What if you buy a book I really want, can I buy enough coins to cash in on this book and do an even trade? Do those coins stay in the market after you sell a book and lose value, or do you buyback coins and keep the currency even?

And who really owns the books? You? TonicComics? Thomas Neely? Does everyone with the coins "own" the book?

Can I use these on Amazon? eBay? Silkroad? Where can I spend these? If they can't be spent, should we just call them stocks like someone earlier stated?

You keep going back to why we should care about crypto-currency, but this is a comic book forum. People here just want to know what comics, are they pressed, and can you flip them better than they can when the time comes.

  5. This is for Jaybuck/Sharon/Pov or whoever has an interest......

Did anyone answer Jimmy L's question about double jeopardy?

This isn't an attempt to derail the Hustruck poll again - but I wish someone would actually look at this question and think about it.

Hustruck Boy is currently on the probation list for this offence. Now, we want to retry him again for the HOS.

    Why did he not

    a) get a HOS poll in the first place or

    b) get the PL vote stopped and changed prior to him going on the list?

Does this mean that in retrospect people can be pulled from the PL and then put up for a HOS vote?

    What is the cut-off date?

30 days after PL? 90 days?

I am voting yes for HT for HOS - that's just for open disclosure so people don't think I have some sort of man-crush on the conqueror of cancer - but Jimmy raised a very pertinent question....

If you have been 'tried' for a 'board-crime' and gone on the PL, what are the triggering factors to suddenly make it a HOS offence?

I think this is worth discussion..... :foryou:

There isn't a vote for PL. You don't complete a transaction, wronged person shows proof, you get nominated, and 3 days later you go on the list till you make it right.

He turned it up to HoS level with his stream of lies, in my opinion. Other than when he admitted he never had the book, everything he told 4comics and the boards was pure BS.

Of course, you are correct - there is no poll for the PL.

And yes, everything he said was BS.

I'm not denying these proven facts or defending HusBoy.

No-one though is answering the actual question.

Where is the cut-off between a PL offence being upgraded to a HOS offense when new 'info' comes to light?

Again, if Hustruck had been put on the PL (which he was) and things had gone on its merry way with no further problems - 3 months later the cracked slab pic had been exposed - would their be all this clamour to go to HOS?

I'm just asking a question, which no-one wants to address or answer.

Actually its Jimmy L's question........ (worship)

The line is when he started lying. If he had not followed through on the deal, then stayed away or silent, he would be on the PL until he made right with 4comix. When he started giving stories that he couldn't keep straight, using stolen pictures, and the info given by the original seller, that's when he crossed over to the HoS. If he's willing to do things like that, he stays into GIJOEISAWESOME territory in that he is lying to gain money(or in his case, keep from losing any).

Look at it this way, he went to the PL for not completing a transaction, and he's probably going to go on the HoS for lying to everyone after the facts came to light.

  7. The shilling was not proven, not admitted to. One thing that rubs my rhubarb is when people say "I am fairly positive" or similar (like "I think" or "I am pretty sure" etc.

The shilling was proven TWICE. The second time he was in this thread when he was caught and actively ended his shilled listings as the forum was discussing them!

The first time he was caught shilling he blamed it on other people out to sabotage him as a result of badmouthing a local comic shop on the internet. He used his admitted secondary eBay to shill his hustruck007 listings. Whenever possible he scrubs all of his threads and posts that could be used to incriminate himself so asking for evidence of something that he posted about months ago is unrealistic.

This kid is a turd. He does not need to be defended. He is not a good person. He is fully aware of what is going on in this thread at the moment and has chosen to remain silent on purpose.

He was fast-tracked to the HoS because he is a repeat offender whose name pops up in this thread every few months. He has shown zero indication of ever actually putting an end to his inappropriate behavior even though he has been warned by numerous board members repeatedly.

Has he done anything particularly nasty that warrants his inclusion on the same list as other board members who have scammed people out of thousands of dollars? No. But this is a preemptive measure to avoid that from occurring later on and it is also justified because of his habitual violations thus far.

One who shills his own listings on separate occasions, gets caught each time, and then refuses to admit and/or apologize for having done it is not someone the forum needs to keep around. Someone who does this and then proceeds to attempt to drop-ship an expensive book, only to fail and attempt to get out of his obligation through a sequence of lies and deception is especially not someone that the forum needs to keep around.

He started out here trying to corral people to yelp or something similar to make false bad reviews. Doesn't that count as interfering with someone's business?

  8. I refuse to buy from anyone that would say please add in 2.9% for PayPal fees. Really? You are selling on the boards for free and you can't suck up that small price of doing business? It is almost like penalizing someone for paying you immediately. :eyeroll: Actually, isn't it against the selling rules to ask for that?

No, I think it's only against the rules to request the payment be sent as a "gift" to avoid the fees(and leave the buyer without any recourse if the deal goes sour).

  9. While I'm just here for the , I had an epiphany:

Keeping in mind this may not be possible w/the board software, but what if it were possible to disable the access to the FS forum for members who were on the PL or in the HoS?

Since the majority of the issues that result in PL and HoS nominations are the result of transactions gone bad, if Arch/techy folks had the ability to ban those members from the FS forum (and JUST that forum) until their transgressions were resolved, I think it would speak volumes.

B/c at the end of the day, let's face it: hitting peoples wallet gets their attention than being on a list. Just ask Ned Isakoff ;)

    Brock that is genius. :applause:

While a good idea, it is not feasible with BB software. Also Arch has stated on multiple occasions that they are not policing this section. So I doubt they would be willing to ban access to PL/HoSers to portions of the site if it even were possible.

Could we not just make a one-off post in any FS/WTB thread a PL or HoS member becomes part of, sort of like we do with sales thread violations? I know it's not 100% foolproof, and some will slip through the cracks, but if it included a link to the PL with wording like "Attention, Member82 is currently a member of the CGC Sales Forum's Probation List/Hall of Shame(insert link here). All member's are advised to use caution when doing business with these members. Good luck with the sale." As long as we limit it to one post, like with rules violations, it shouldn't be considered thread-craping. After that, people can use their own judgment, either good or bad, in dealing with said member.

  10. Write up the nomination. :baiting:

If we are going down this road, it would be proper to see the following:

    1. The original thread or PM conversations in which the book was purchased.

    2. The PM/email in which Hus offered up the (false) picture of the cracked case.

And another PM would have to go out notifying him that he has been nominated to the HoS

Speaking for myself, I wouldn't vote without seeing 1 and 2.

Without any of this, I don't think you will get very many people willing to vote for the HoS. I know I would refrain from such vote.

  11. I've got my genesis, ps1, ps2 and ps3 to keep me occupied.

I have a free 14 day trail for PSN+ and I wasn't going to bother with it, but my better half gave me a pre order for Elderscrolls Online, so I am looking at getting it finally.

Anyone else with PSN+? Is it really worth $50 a year?

I'm kinda pissed at paying $80 or so for an online game to have to pay to play it on the PS4 as well.

I really don't see why everyone has to be so freaking greedy these days.

    because $

Yeah but you can easily burn that. Gimmie a sword. A carbon fiber sword, hand crafted by monks living behind a waterfall

Which is why I buy most of my games as physical copies aside from PC and 3DS. I never ordered PSN +, I do have Xbox Live but only because I have an Xbox One(and I'm too lazy to cancel it from my credit card). Oddly enough, I was up all night playing Dragon Age Inquisition and never once got kicked off XBL.

  12. this coming from the guy chatting on the cgc boards and has every decent book he owns listed in his signature ???? you went at me in a post in the past... again now... funny part is BOTH times it was you writing in about books you CLEARLY can't even afford...that's the funny part... why are you even writing in on this post? you don't have a book in your whole collection over 2k so you weren't gonna buy? your what's called a troll... troll on buddy ... I may type like I'm 12 but looks like your bank account resembles a 12 yr olds now stop trolling dead beat and start Applying to better jobs ?

Man, I can't wait to sell a book to you.

  13. I am currently a part of the Monares op, and was also in his Thony Silas and Nestor Celario ops. I haven't heard a word from the facilitator in close to 11 months. I have the Silas and Celario books, but I feel that if it were not for Glenn Sr, I wouldn't have those either.

  15. It seems everyone here is worrying about the HoS votes being skewed by low turn-out, mob mentality, and non-informative voting. Why not;

    1) Make a stickied thread in CG or WC to announce new HoS voting.

    2) Continue this new avenue of hidden polls

    3) provide links to the offense(s), since this is the HoS and reserved for the worst of the worst.

Wouldn't be hard to do. Person making the nomination should be the one burdened with making sure links are posted to the offenses, as in the real world the burden of proof always lies with the accuser.

  16. So does this mean I can nominate every facilitator on here who has had ops going on for over a year with no completion? What about the one's I feel don't communicate properly? Or the ones who ship me broken slabs? Cause I have some in each catigory. Of course, I have some who also do quite well with all of the above and of which I have 0 complaints (Doug being at the top of that list).

Not saying that I will, but it seems that Menace is getting toasted for things that other facilitators are also doing and getting away with it.
