  1. did ur midtown shippments ship yet

yesterday. They had something that said "pending per release date" or something like that. I guess they had to wait right up until wednesday since new releases come out then but i dont expect to see my shipment until next week. Im only one state over from where they ship and they take forever.

  2. this has mimicked Saga in every way thus far.

Variants: RRP, Ghost. Huge print run, but killer first issue, with a GREAT writer on board. I think it's a winner in every sense of the word, and the story is more accessible than Saga.

BUT we shall see. Issue 2 and 3 could be dogs lol. I doubt it, but it could happen.

MAJOR differences between this and Saga:

RRP no other variants for #1

    Broads LOVE Saga

Who is to say women don't love this book? (shrug)

Also, and this has been rehashed already in this thread, that Hickman didn't ok any other variants. The Ghost/Forbidden Planet are from those retailers, and those alone.

I'll be the first to say this tho, and have rocks thrown at me. I think this will be chosen as "The Best Comic" of 2013, like Saga was, and in time it will probably surpass Saga. Manhattan Projects is already one of the most over looked books out right now, just starting to gain momentum, and Hickman I feel is one of the best out there. I can only hope, and have faith.

How many people agree with this that DO NOT have 100 copies in the closet...?

I have a healthy stack too, but I'm with TBP. I just don't see it.

And I've already sold enough to cover my costs. If I had more confidence in this book, I would have held onto them longer. In this case, though, I think it's better to hedge my bets, especially in light of the print run. The book is great, but the last time I knew so many people sitting on 100 copies of a #1, Jim Lee was drawing X-Men. And that didn't work out so well.

Agree sometimes its hard to sort out the BS speculator vs the reader who really liked the book.

I have one copy of Saga 1. I read the first issue and did not bother with subsequent issues.

I have one copy of EOW 1. I read the first issue and will be buying subsequent issues to read.

    i hear you

    I dont

So 50k for issue one and issue two will be 25k ? :roflmao:

That's the usual trajectory for a new series although I suspect this will hold up better than that.

    not even close

  3. So 50k for issue one and issue two will be 25k ? :roflmao:

generally speaking, the strong reviews should prevent that. If you did a speculator round-up, I would guess most people who bought multiples of #1, have or are planning to by multiples of #2 as well.

True that. I have 25 copies of 1 but only per ordered 10 copies of 2. Curious to see if they can sustain the print run.

    20 #1

    15 #2
