  1. How many did you order? And, that sux
  2. It's never fun going to Wal-Mart and buying $32 worth of bubble wrap and $10 worth of clear duct tape. But it must be done. I to have received some horrible pack jobs, but what really surprises me is comic book shops and the way they pack books (correction: the way SOME pack books). Some are loose, banging around in a box. I guess that indicates that to most people, condition is not an issue. Don't be affraid to call someone out, because that is the only way they will (1) learn how to do it correctly and it (2) may prevent someone for having a bad experience down the road. R
  3. Five weapons, five ghosts... what's next... ?
  4. While Saga is out, I'm going to read Rachel Rising (TBP's in the mail... thanks LoneTree) (thumbs u R
  5. I was. Both (present and 80's / 90's).
  6. seriously, i think i signed up here no more than three days after you did.
  7. In my statement I acknowledge that many of the surprises for new books are gone. My example with spawn #9 is that there will always be an 'it' book around the corner (whether new or 20 years old). Don't be surprised when new books still fly under the radar or are under appreciated out of the gate and then grow. Once again, the vast majority of readers are ill informed of new books. They just show up on Wednesday and browse. I just think it's short-sighted to say there will be NO Saga, Revival, ToT, MP, or any other like book in 2013.
  8. There's at least one every month. Remember Spawn #9 last month. Stuff likes this happens all the time. We recently heard about Pilot Season: The Test. Stuff like that happens all the time. Helheim was not hyped huge pre-release. You may be right in the many of the new titles are on the radar. But, keep in mind that 90% of comic readers don't keep up with what's coming out and when. They just walk into an LCS and ask, "what's new?" When the housing bubble popped, smart people took advantage of the situation. So the question is (and what CBT has already said), do you want to the the turkey or the hawk? Bubbles do exist. Corrections occur. Risk is involved. Just don't gamble to hard on one title unless you can afford to take the heat. R
  9. I disagree with the 2012 comment. There are some people who do well in any market condition. What are we going to say next year, 2013 is over?
  10. Diversify, diversify, diversify. Buy Garbage Pail Kids!!
  11. "Hey, I'm only wrong half the time." You stole my line
  12. "Bubbles, Bubbles, Wonderful Bubbles!" I think what CBT is saying is that you eventually hit the ceiling, which now has to be washed and sterilized! So you get NOTHING!!! That darn Fizzy Lifting Drink!
  13. CBT:"Obessed with bubbles since 1993"
