Well, here it is! Arrived safely.
That ended up pretty good! I loved his work on X-Factor back when I was a kid...used to love his Wolfsbane and Havok!

I commissioned Larry a few years back. I did the deal through Todd Johnson. It took a few months after his expected due date, but he did finish it. No real problem with dealing with him at all. Very happy with him.

Yeah it is, I want to put a Detolf there but that will wait till Aug when I get up to Chicago. We don't have an Ikea store in St. Louis I try to keep the room thinned down because I don't want it too cluttered. But I will def have some new stuff after Chicago comic con. Hopefully a couple CGC's and some more key issues. All my long boxes are in the closet by Batman...he protects them
-
Not too sure why this room looks so big in these pictures??? But everything is much closer than it looks. This room is maybe 10' by 12' looks much better in person too oh well when Aug. comes I'll get some updates Chicago Con here I come!

IT MADE IT INTACT AND IN 1 PIECE! Well....multiple pieces and it was a BEAST to put together.
That sucker weighed close to 100 lbs. and it was like dragging a dead body. So I unpacked it and it was actually packed really well!
So well I will try my luck again and order another one!
Funny thing though...it almost didn't survive. Just like anything IKEA I swear you have to be Swedish to understand how it all goes together sometimes.
This has to be built right and tight. I am right and tight. I got it all together and thought it was ready to go. Loaded it with some slabs, Six Million Dollar Man figures.
Walked into the kitchen to get some water and heard the loudest crash. OH S H IT!
But amazingly enough everything was fine! No broken glass, but everything was at the bottom of he case and the side glass had worked it's way out of the channel cause the top shelf was just barely out of the groove.
So I took it apart, got everything re-seated 100%, tightened it down and it's good to go now!
Whew.....
I'm glad it made it! Maybe I'll think about Ebay or Amazon then don't know if I can wait till August though! Ehhh I want this room to be done before I take photos...I want it to look awesome!!!
-
Good god a Honda Civic Coupe! I'm impressed how did ou get that thing in there!
-
Good luck, I guess when the convention hits Chicago in August I'll just pick a couple up then . Two birds with one stone. Hope your Detolf comes in good shape also!
-
I love the X-23! So awesome!

$349 to ship though I could drive to chicago and get one and be nowhere near that price...I might go if it wasn't 4.5 hours away or so
-
Why are these Detolf's so expensive to ship!!! Holy Cow...St. Louis needs a Ikea store bad!
