Work has been a killer these last couple of days. I'm about half way through. More books coming tomorrow, and I'll probably finish up on Sunday.

Another vault book for me. When I started collecting, I only knew of one copy ever listed on eBay (which I promptly bought). Other have since been listed, and some for outrageous prices. This is my under copy that I picked up along the way sometime. $99 - Badrock/Wolverine Ashcan #357/500 VF A big tough to grade this one. It has a cardstock cover. FC is structurally perfect. Back cover has a crease. But do note the rust on the top staple, which I’ve found oddly common with this book.

Busy day with work today, so I didn't get to as many scans as I would have liked... just going to make two posts tonight. These books were free in comic shops, so hardly anyone shelled out $4 to purchase these off the newsstand (likely carried by only by Barnes & Noble by this time). I don’t actively seek these issues out anymore, but I’ve only seen a couple ever up for sale. OK, last book for today... $275 - Wolverine and the X-Men #4 (Venomized) SOLD NM Gorgeous book. I want to be conservative in the grade though. Lays flat, sharp corners. But, I see a few very tiny spine ticks (1 color breaking).

Tough find on this book, especially in such high grade. $85 - Wolverine Origins #40 (Romulus variant) NM+

The next two books are absolutely beautiful… if it weren’t for those pesky corner tears that oversized Marvel books are known for. I try to grade things pretty tight, and I can say that these are just two immaculate copies… again, except for the corner tears. I refuse to grade these as 9.8s, but CGC has been known to let these types of common defects pass. Check ebay, and you’ll find 9.8s littered about, all with the corner tears.
