  1. I really felt for

Aaron when he was being beaten up and he still managed to stay positive about he whole thing.

    I shed a tear when

Daryl nodded to Rick and they hugged each other.

Great mid-season ender. Negan is really good in being a character you'd love to hate. JDM is thin though without the jacket, and he looks older sans facial hair.

  2. * It was a bit abrupt for Jesus to conclude that Maggie or Sasha would be a better leader than him or Gregory or anyone from the Hilltop for that matter based on that one attack.

    * Enid really believed that Carl just went out for a drive?!?!

    * Jesus automatically followed Sasha's orders to find out where Negan lives without knowing why? And they are hiding it from Maggie?

    * Jesus has to make up for something? As if saving and constantly fighting for Maggie, Sasha and their group wasn't enough?

Did you watch the whole episode?

If Jesus had any marbles in his head he would conclude a tough survivor like Maggie would be 100% more effective than Gregory to lead. (Do you remember back when we first saw the Hilltop and Maggie outsmarted Gregory the first time???) But he didn't come out and say it because its foreshadowing......

Enid smiled at him so I doubt she believed his reason for showing up.

Jesus is a stand up kind of person and he likes fighting to save people. What is so dense about any of this?

Of course I watched it, hence, my observations.

Jesus thinking Maggie would be a great leader for the Hilltop is too abrupt. She's been there for how long, and she doesn't even know the people yet. She doesn't know the place, etc. She just commanded two people to close the gate and drove a tractor. If anything, Sasha showed more leadership than Maggie.

When Enid and Carl were staring at the Saviors at Hilltop's gate and before they eventually made out, Enid remarked to Carl that "You really didn't come out just for a drive didn't you?", implying that she believed him.

Yeah, he's been fighting for Sasha and Maggie since the beginning. I don't get why he has to apologize and why Sasha has to take him up for it.

Any apologist worth his salt can defend these, but at first watch, this would be my knee jerk reaction... no analysis required,

  4. I thought it was just terrible, and I think they're seriously going in the wrong direction on this show. Negan is simply not believable as a bad guy. The quippy, goofy lines that might have read well in the comic sound kind of stupid when they’re delivered out loud onscreen. Negan comes off as more delusional than menacing, like he’s built this empire of people who hate and fear him and it’s not all going to come tumbling down in a matter of weeks.

And we're supposed to believe that Rick - who until this year has shown NO inclination to do this on the show - will be a compromising ?

I rarely get angry when watching a television show, but last night's show made me angry - it was 90 minutes of just .

Am I glad I'm not the only one who feels this.

It was watchable but Negan was ugh...

That's exactly how I felt, his character does not translate well onscreen. It was very unbelievable, it was like watching a student trying to pass his final exams in theater arts. I was getting tired of his rollercoaster threats and smiles. He was coming off as corny and over the top.

  5. 1. Tales of Suspense 39 (Raw or any grade) - Iron Man is my favorite character, totally relatable. It's a shame I don't have his first appearance. :(

    2. Uncanny X-Men 1 (Raw or 5.0 above) - X-Men started my comic hobby, and it should only be fitting that I own their first appearance.

    3. Sandman 1 (CGC 9.9 or 9.8 SS Gaiman/McKean/Kieth) - Sandman is the greatest comic of all-time and I am a Vertigo collector. So I just got to have an impressive slab of Sandman 1. Currently, I just have a CGC 9.6.

I can make an argument for The Walking Dead 1, TMNT 1, GSX 1, IH 181 but the above-three mentioned are my priority.

I can also include Action Comics 1, Detective Comics 39, but I just know that's outside the realm of possibility for me.

    :)

  6. First appearance of Daisy Johnson.

God! I think every Marvel book now has the potential to heat up that I am already scared of selling my duplicates.

I used to sell Civil War Sets, Secret War Set with much difficulty breaking even. Now, look at them! It's a good thing I didn't run out.

  7. Why the sudden uptick in Runaways 1?

Is this the Vaughan effect (Saga, Y The Last Man)

Will his other titles follow suit?

    TV show in the works.

Thanks, I didn't know of this until now.

Runaways was a very good read. I think it will translate into a good TV show.

  8. For over 10 years, I have held and defended X2: X-Men United as the best comic film of all-time. Even after Spider-man 2, Iron Man, The Dark Knight, Avengers and Captain America 2, it was still X2 for me.

    Not anymore.

There's a new king, and incidentally, it's from the same franchise - X-Men: Days of Future Past! The movie was perfect - action, humor, drama, characterization and comic mythos.. paying homage to previous X-films.

    Great great movie!
