Stunning Piece
+1
I have not seen this before, it looks awesome - is it a published cover, commission or something else?
Its a commission piece, it really is beautiful, thanks for the kind words.

I was browsing this issue
And this thing popped out of nowhere. This is Iron Fist right? Is this considered a Cameo? Does the Darkseid rule apply here? Please don't judge.
-
If one panel is a cameo, then Swamp Thing #25 should increase in value as the first John Constantine appearance.
-
Groot had a small cameo in an issue of Fun and Games from Marvel.

What issue of fun and games is this? If so, is this the third appearance? Unless you count the reprints as an appearance. Thanks.
-
The consensus seems to be no. This has come up here before, and no one has ever seen or heard of one. It appears that it doesn't exist in the true "second print" form. No one seems to know why there is a clear third print.
If you fine one, good luck to you!
That's really odd, so until someone really finds one, third printing of the book is actually the "second" printing of it.

Just wondering, just strating to get into Joes, but is there such thing as a GI Joe #21 second print? Im trying to look for one online and the only thing that pops out is the 3rd print one. Anyone care to shed a light on this. Thank you.

Hello, a fellow collector is sharing his copy. Here is his copy.
Here is what's inside.
I'm not convinced that it's legit. Can anyone help me clarify. Thanks!
Not sure if it's a trick of the light, but the background for the "12c" should be the same colour as the background for the "15 AUG.", ie. they should both be white. The background for the "12c" looks yellow in your pic.
That's what gave it away for me, color difference, that's why I'm having doubts, it does look trimmed, and for my viewing point of the photo, no creases or spine ticks whatsoever.

I did a research you guys are spot on, Zartan was unamed at #24. Then I really do need that #25 since I'm starting a portfolio for the Dreadnoks. But the original Dreadnoks, Buzzer, Ripper, and Torch, were unamed at the that issue, is there an issue were they got introduced?
Pretty sweet videos. Nostalgic as ever.
Zartan appears in the last panel of #24. Right next to the panel it says: NEXT ISSUE: The strangest deadliest foe the Joes have ever faced... the incredible... ZARTAN. So he is named in the comic, but not in the story by another character.
so it's a sort of a introduction already, really similar to the hulk wolvie scenario. very interesting...
on other news, the G.I. Joe title will be rebooting again, I think it is going to be released next year.

What issue did the dreadknocks first appear? i'm a bit confused since some of them appeared before they have said to be introduced. it's like Zartan's case. and which do you guys consider as a first appearance? the literal one or the one that has an introduction?

What‘s the point of having a Mark Jeweler’s insert if you can’t see it?
I'm quite curious what if you tear up the insert and left a little page on it or the tear mark guide in the comic, will cgc still consider it as a mark jeweler's variant?
-
wow. that is just sweet.
-
. sorry for that, I'm just using my phone to reply to you guys, it's too much of a hassle to keep opening new tabs. :: thanks again!

You should have no problem finding full runs of both Marvel Feature Vol. 2 and Red Sonja in decent enough reader copy shape for $15.00 to $20.00 each. That's what I do, and just keep the best ones for my reader copy collection. Then I just give away or trash the really bad ones. Keep in mind that these aren't collected like Spider-Man or X-Men, and no one is killing themselves to get these. There are a few collectors who will pay when a 9.8 comes along that they need, but for the most part, the ones we already have don't go for that much, and end up sitting on eBay for years without so much as a bite. Especially issues 2-6. You could get all five of those in 9.8 right now for less than $100.00 each on eBay as we speak. So don't be fooled if you see one go for more at auction. Like that Marvel Feature Vol. 2 #3 on HA a few months back. It's just two or three of us fighting over one we don't have. If you want investment grade mint books you have to buy them already graded to be safe, and if you're looking for reader copies no more than a dollar or two each. Anything in between is pointless for these.
I get you on this one. i decided to start getting Red Sonjas because no one really collects Red Sonja that much and she's just a great character for me.

so in like issue #24, all I can see on ebay that it has a black spidey and a newsstand cover, but on some sites it is said that it doesn't have any 2nd printings? is that correct?
-
Help is overwhelming guys, thank you, I know now what to look for, guessing my best bet is to pen the book itself, and some of the price variations.
-
do a spending/cost quota for raw copies.

Here is a listing of all the Marvel G.I. Joe Second Printings: 2,6,7,8,10,11,12,14,17,18,19,21,23,25,26,27,29,30,34,35,36,37,38,49,51,52,53,55,63,64
Listing of the Third Printings:
21,29,63
Can someone teach me how to spot a 2nd printing? Someone told me it's an indicia on the first page or something?
The indicia inside is always the best place to look. (thumbs u
Most of the 2nd printings will have a different price. Earlier issues that were 60 cents will have the 75 cents price. On later issues, I know on the direct editions, the 1st print has the "M" with the price/issue number while the later printings have the standard box.+1
Also, some of the books have regular Spiderman (1st print) vs black Spiderman (2nd print), but be careful as the Spidey thing doesn't always work.
Where should I look for this indicia? Can someone post a scan of this?
-
Yeah, Actually I only need Red Sonja key issues. Wow that's a cheap one!

That's a nice cover, but I'll probably concentrate on Red Sonja titles first, then jump into appearances.

Hi, guys. Why is GI Joe vol. 1 #126 in the $10 market? Is it a key issue for Firefly?
Yes. It's the issue they officially connect him to the Snake-Eyes/Storm Shadow origin.
Firefly was a member of their ninja clan and was originally suppose to kill Snake-Eyes for Cobra Commander. It's revealed that Firefly is the "Faceless Master" who had been referenced before in the series. (thumbs u
great! thanks for that, is there any 2nd printing for this issue? or it's just newstand and direct variant?
That I don't know for sure, but I don't think there was a 2nd printing.
Thanks for that, I just bought this from a fellow collector for 250php so that's around $6-$7. I'll get a scan of it when I get it.I'll probably jump into the G.I. Joe band wagon. Weee.
It's a newstand copy, so it does exist.
