anyone with fewer than 500 posts goes POOF!
... The end is near!

Dang if Kickstarter gets these books going then the CGC boards are the afterburners!!!!
Yep. Lots of lurkers around here these days.
-
he mentioned legacy numbering in this thread....so 1-5, 6-10, etc......This whole stigma about Minis has got to stop.
+1 There's no excuse not to try this great new series... if you can still find a copy.
-
LCS I went to had 6 copies this afternoon. Picked up one. This book is getting rave reviews.
-
Anyone find #4 without the little tears on bottom corner? The ones I got yesterday had them and I went to another shop near my work has it on every copy as well - they had like 100 copies as well
i picked up 4 copies only one didnt have the tear
other news slabs on their way back #1, 2 & 3 all 9.8!
Edit: also forgot to mention Thought bubble 9.4 but i expected that from the copy i had obtained
All the ones I saw had this also.

Ongoing ! Yay ! Way to go boardies for supporting this book !

Maybe worth a shot then if you contact them after with your order number. For those that do, please post when you receive them.

Good luck to those who pre-order the FP variant. They will probably ship in a light cardboard envelope. No bag n board or anything else to protect to books, so it really is a roll of the dice with them. Buyer beware.
Really? Someone else on another board who ordered these and has ordered in the past said "They are quick also..and very reliable"
Maybe I should contact the customer service in advance and let them know that Im expecting these to be packed good.
Probably should. Ordering in quantity may produce different results, but that' s how my 4 bedlam FPs arrived shipped to the states.

I love it.

Have two TPBs on the way from Challenger with the signed bookplate illustration.
+ love those Phantom covers...
+1 on the Phantom covers as long as I'm getting them at cover.
I really really wish Ohio would get a Phantom Retailer. There are lots of great shops and customers who would love to get these at cover.
What shop in OH should I add?
Why?
Packrat Comics has always been very helpful to me and every year their FCBD events are outstanding. Columbus OH MSA is around 1.8 million residents.

My LCS still had copies of #1 along with #2 today.
-
#2 was listed on Midtown for next week at around 2pm EST today and is already listed as out of stock. Impressive.

I'd say continue the numbering 5-8 even if you're going mini...quite a few monthlies are so inconsistent they may as well be minis. Minis can sometimes be a bit of a turnoff (no offense).

Just 6. I was going to go more, but pulled back before the deadline for DCBS edits based on how speculation on this one is looking a lot like Bedlam.
God this is looking a lot like the 1990s...

My DCBS pre orders should finally arrive today.
Yesterday i got my Forbidden Planet order. I'll try to post an image of the box when i get home.
FORBIDDEN PLANET SHIPPING BOX......

OUCH. That's why I' m boycotting them a until someone posts better results... someday

Definitely not NM books from the description, but good deal for someone that doesn't mind those issues.

FP variants came in the mail today... Took a deep breath then opened the mailer that had a few bends on it. Luckily, they arrived in just about as good as possible condition. Nothing that was caused by mailing them. Having said that - buying from them is a roll of the dice and I would not recommend doing so unless they change their packaging/shipping practices.

Nice cover! Chapel Hill comics just sent out an email. Available on their online store "shortly after" midnight EST for anyone that wants to have this.
-
Horray for variants!
And I was just thinking how nice it was to have a new title launching without variants... never mind
-
The cover is a turn off for starters and the premise doesn't really make me want to rush out and buy this book.
I'm going to give it a shot...
I am also!

Read it last night - blew away my expectations. They knocked this one out of the ballpark! Extra bonus if it has a decent return eventually, but not the main reason why it's on my monthy list anymore... I want to know what happens next.
