  1. Mp covers= simplicity personified, but with a distinctive feel that is in complete contrast to semi clad naked girl wielding a scimitar astride a motorcycle that seems to adorn every other book sitting on the shelf (well not quite, but a Supe in some sort of heroic pose certainly does).

In fact, rather than the plainness of the cover deterring potential readers, in a sea of Superheroes, it kind of grabs the eye at the LCS.

Btw, my vote for a t shirt would defo be #12- that shade of green against the white background -one of my favourite covers of th past 12 months.

  2. Pretty soon everything will have a movie deal it seems. How many new titles now do we have in movie some sort of production now? How many are missing from below?

    Hack Slash

    Clone

    Think Tank

    Hoax Hunters

    Sixth Gun(TV)

    The Vault

    100 Bullets

    Peter Panzer..(TV)

    Rachel Rising

    Chastity

    RIPD

    The Activity

    Term Life

    The Test

    Y the Last Man

    Locke & Key

    Powers

Absolution (Christos Gage has written a screenplay for this. Don't know much more than that about the project.)

Uber (Was this just a rumor or did it finally get confirmed somewhere?)

Add to that Undying Love and the johnny Depp film

  3. Well mission accomplished then mate!

So much to applaud about this book Ken.

Probably the book I read before all others, including Revival, Bedlam, Saga, PP, ToT, Harbinger, MHP, Hawkeye et al. LOVING THIS SO MUCH - but not looking forward to the hiatus(booooo)

The delicious naivety of Todd, which also makes him incredibly sweet; the relentless and disturbing pursuit by the father of a washed out celebrity; the mother seeking solace in the arms of anyone who'll show the merest bit of attention; the interplay between Todd and the biggest, baddest MoFo in the prison(holding hands - HA!); the cop discovering the identity of a serial killer because the serial killer had ran out of T.P(GENIUS!!!!); awesome artwork and genuine laugh out loud moments.

I just wonder if we will ever have an unveiling of Todd's face?(probably not)

From the deepest, sincerest bottom of my heart (and this isn't creeping AT ALL), I would just like to say a massive thankyou to you and your completely awesome team.

    THANK YOU.

  5. Congrats to Hulk for the purchase.

Personally, if I had Seven and a half large to drop on a comic book, I would be looking for an AF15 or something of that ilk, not a comic that is not even a year old(as much as I love Revival)

  6. Andy, seriously, get ahold of yourself. Its like talking to an apple sometimes. Im sure Wushu is pround of those books and spent well earned change on them. Stop in everyone's cheerios. You do this all the time. Everyone here isn't as stupid as you suspect and you aren't the wise old sage.

If NWM is soo good, why are there multiple unsold copies of 2 + 3 sitting on the shelves here in Melbourne?

If you bother to go back 10 pages or so,you will see I offered to buy them and send them over for cover - not one taker.

    .

Mate, regardless of whether or not you are into NWM, if there are 2 and 3 sitting on the shelves, you should really be grabbing them for yourself and flipping them to go towards your next silver age purchase

  7. I'm proud to say I stuck by my decision and have not purchased a single copy.

    So there.

Irrespective of whether or not you have any speculative interest in the book mucker, I hope you have read it, as it is a cracking book!!

  8. I feel a bit uncharitable saying this, as ES has participated in the boards and been so friendly and generous with his time. But as this is a public forum, I'm going to soldier on...

I finally got to read the first two issues, and while there are things about them I like, being honest I'm not sure I would have pursued the series further without the stylish covers and the general buzz around the title. It's read to me as a pretty slow start, and perhaps more critically, I don't yet feel emotionally invested in the characters.

That said, I have a fresh copy of #3 still waiting to be read, so I do look forward to seeing where the storyline is going. I can appreciate that it does take a few issues for a title to set up all the chess pieces on the board (Thief of Thieves comes to mind, and it's among my favorites).

    Thoughts?

Same as you mate, as a matter of fact, slightly underwhelmed with 1 and 2, but 3 just blew me away!!
