Nice initiative and a big (worship) but as a Belgian comic fan I probably will not be on your list as I don't have a local comic book shop! There are next to none in Belgium :-) Pitty, but will still be supporting by buying online from the EU retailer websites.

I wish you a nice evening and bid you my ultimate respect.

  2. Ok guys, this is nuts... Few posts ago I told you the Forbidden Planet story... So I thought, why noy try them online... and this is the result!!!

  3. I am on a business trip in UK and decided to give the local Forbidden Planet a go...

    Bounty was:

    1 x NWM #1 NM

    2 x NWM #3 NM+ and a "sorry sir don't have #2 anymore..."

Also picked up Saga #4 and #5 NM for 3$ for the two, 2 x Saga #9, 1 x Saga #7 and PP #7 and #8 at cover. Topped it of with 4 x Daredevil #21 at cover.

It was a good day me believez and now for dinner :-)

P.S. I can order 15 copies of NWM #2 (2nd print) at cover... should I horde?

  4. Dre's subscription service is awesome, but I enjoy the hunt and anticipation.

    and your 9.9s ;)

    It's called getting lucky... :)

can't get lucky if you are 9.8 subscribed ;), i was giving you another great reason to do it solo if you can.

Newbee talking here... Dre's subscription service? Please explain, if necessary in PM.

    Tnx

  5. Hey guys, if I would somehow be able to buy 20 issues of Nowhere Men #1 (2nd print) at cover, should I do it?

Look at the available information. Make your mind up. I still think Nowhere Men is at the tipping point where we don't quite know if it's going to be good yet. If I bought 20 #2 right now I would want to be sure that they were going to sell and at least cover my spend based on ebay in my country.

e.g. You pay $60. You think they will sell quick for $10 each. That's 7 issues to sell to cover yourself. If you think you can do that then you have 13 in hand and have paid nothing. (remember to always cover your fees)

The more you think for yourself on this the more you will learn especially from mistakes.

Off I go then... Worth a shot I believe! Tnx

  6. Malibu Sun #13 - 1st App. of Spawn? @ $16+ & 8 bids on eBay!

    Django Unchained #1 - $20+ & 26 bids.

    Revival #1 - $20+ & 3 bids.

    Peter Panzerfaust #2 - $34 & 10 bids.

    Batman #1 - $35 & 15 bids

    Sixth Gun #1 & #2 - @ $61 & 2 bids.

Than tons and tons of PF #1 and ToT #1 listings towards the top. But want is fun is all the complete sets that are doing well of various titles. Take a peek :shy:

PF #8 is even hitting over $20 now...

  7. I have 2 copies that are easy 9.8's but in the UK it just doesn't seem worth the effort or $$$ to slab in the near to middling future. Postage + less of an interest in slabs over here.

I don't necessarily agree... I live in Belgium and get my NM+ graded all the time. If you wait till they heat up its worth the effort. You get them graded at 30 USD including send and return cost per comic if you submit them by 10 and it only goes down if you submit more.

BTW in the UK you are even better off as there are some comic book stores through which you can submit and get reduction on postage as they send over sh*tloads.

Only point you might have is flipping them, but I think that is beginning to change. Sold a WD 27 CGC 9.2 for USD 200 last week in Holland. That is over GPA prices my friend... So hopefully things are turning for the better here in the EU.

BUT WE NEED A CGC OFFICE IN EUROPE!!!
