    Problems spine-side and top of back cover. It's a rare "Red Star" version so that's a plus. Don't know how much pressing will help. Think it would grade out in the 6.0 - 7.0 range but have had hundreds of Playboys graded by CGC and the final grade seems to depend on who the grader is, some being more harsh (or lenient) than others & don't forget that for every Playboy they grade, they grade a thousand comic books: ergo, Playboys are not their thing. Hope this helps and good luck.

    20 CGC Playboys: Begins with CGC 9.0 Hugh Hefner Autographed 1953 Original #1 Playboy & comes with "JSA LOA" of Hef's autograph. All 20 graded "at least" 9.0.

    Begins with one of only 6 Hugh Hefner autographed Original #1 Playboys (from December, 1953) graded 9.0 (or higher) in the world! Also includes many other highly sought after Playboys.

    Includes only twice Hefner autographed and twice Hefner caricatured Playboy in the world (which also happens to be a "Page 3" #1 Playboy), whose original owner was Eldon Sellers, the man who gave Playboy its name. Original drawings by Hef. Original recordings by Hef (when he was a teenager), hundreds of pages of letters and much more!

    The Highest Graded Sets of the first two years of Playboy magazine will be auctioned at Heritage's Chicago on May 10th and May 12th. A CGC 9.0 Hugh Hefner Autographed #1 will be auctioned in Heritage's Platinum Session on May 10th at 12 PM CT. At 2 PM CT, that day, most of Volume 1 will be auctioned off, as well as, a 9.8 January 1955, the famous "Bettie Page" Issue and a 9.6 February 1955 (featuring Jayne Mansfileld as the Playmate of the Month). Most of the Playboys in this auction have attained the highest grade yet achieved in the CGC Census. Below is a link to the video made by Heritage for this offering.
