I'd like to give a shout out and HUGE thank you to the greatest facilitator of all time, Mr. Doug Peters. As long as Doug is facilitating, I will be his loyal customer.
Kudos to Steven French who facilitated Planet Comicon when Doug was unable to make. Thanks man!

And how about Marcos Martin? Does he ever make it to a state side convention?

Man, where is one o' my favorite artists of all time, Mr. Paul Pelletier???

I have a 12 comic submission there. Some really nice silver age Captain Americas and a first Wolvie cameo Hulk 180. Submitted economy. Received at CGC 4/11 and have yet to be verified. .

Good lawd, fellas....would give anything to know your secrets of procuring silver agers like the issue of X-Men above that garner freakin' 9.0's!

Wow, this is an incredibly informative post. I have to say, I've been reading and collecting comics since I was 9 years old (1992), and I had no idea these products were out there...referring to the E Gerber materials.
What do the "half back" and "full back" terms refer to for the E Gerber backing boards? Never seen those terms before in my life!

To be honest, what bothers me is that they zap your credit card the moment the books come through their door ($500+ on this invoice)...and then four weeks later the books have not changed from received to verified. I simply think that CGC should both verify your books and schedule them for grading when they charge you.

Ha. Yeah, I'm just not into paying big bucks for subpar service regardless of how much I love comics. I salute those of you who stick with it and wait these turkeys out time after time. Yikes.

As a new member unfamiliar with the turnaround times I must admit I'm very disappointed. I can't see myself renewing for a second year. When I pay $700 for something (invoice cost for submission) I guess I just expect a reasonably quick service/product. Books have not even changed from received to verified. .
