It took me years to complete my SSOC run and even now I am always tinkering and looking to upgrade this amazing series. I have decided to begin the ambitious task of posting every book. This is exactly what I did when I had Stan sign my book - took a few minutes for me to do and I averted any potential disaster and got to choose where his signature would be. A little prep work never hurts.

Met up with Brad to buy a full long box of Conan and Conan related titles. We had a great chat and I look forward to meeting him again. So great to have other boardies in the same city

Buy the label - not the book

The sky is falling - the 9.8 on the clink sold last night for "only" $11750.00, off the GPA high of $14550.00 in October 2015.

Leads are like looking for water in The Sahara!

I send well over 500 boxes a year with Fed Ex for work and I do have boxes that get "lost" every year, but sooner or later every one has turned up. The longest wait was about 4 weeks. Comic wise, the longest I had a lost box from USPS/Canada Post was over 6 weeks. I have a buddy who works at the Canada Post distribution center where the book was scanned in but not out, and even with the tracking number he couldn't locate it. 6 weeks later it got delivered to me. He was shocked. So don't give up hope yet (as hard as that may seem right now).

His thread is solid! Tons of great mags left and all at 50% off - hard to wrong.

This rash of Conan posts makes me very happy! So glad to see other people love the character as much as I do.

The comics are great too! Funny that you say that, but my least favourite issues are the BWS ones. I love his work, but his Conan just seems wrong to me. Kind of like THOR in JIM #83. A scrawny barbarian just doesn't work for me. While I prefer Buscema's Conan, I also like BWS. +1 on Buscema but I'm sure many will think it's heresy to think this way. Not sure why anyone would, Buscema is an all time great comic book artist. Heresy with regards to preferring Buscema over BWS. Not at all, BWS doesn't rank as a great artist for me. Although very detailed, he couldn't draw a face to save his life. Buscema's Silver Surfer wipes the floor with anything BWS ever drew. I agree with you that BWS doesn't rank for me either - just saying many others wouldn't agree with Buscema over BWS. Look at who's OA for Conan brings more money - and by a lot! Buscema also did a ton more Conan than BWS, so there's more of his art out there. Very fair point - can't argue it!

I don't see how He is trying to start the movie hype. I hope he realizes, with this audience, his remarks fall on deaf ears. This used to be a fun thread but 'collectors with agenda' have ruined it. He's trying to hype THE hottest SA book

I THINK he is referring to the early issues of Conan the Barbarian, where Conan isn't as muscular.

Two boardies have said 7.0's have sold privately in the $65K range. I wouldn't be surprised if that is round about what the one on the boards also went for. -J. considering the price was lowered to $62k and it sold not long after, i'd say that was the # Eh. It's a $2500 difference. Round about the same price. I don't check for sale threads unless I actually have money to spend. -J. Snob

The sale of the 7.0 today on the boards got me wondering what's the highest sale for a 7.0 - GPA shows $53300.00 - anyone know of any non GPA reported sales that are higher?

Almost every pre-90 Marvel issue and no takers. It's been advertised for over a year... Couldn't agree more. Conan the Barbarian and SSOC are great titles. There does seem to be a small surge on the boards in Conan popularity recently. Books in 9.6 are very affordable, raws are a complete steal. Very sad to see that Dark Horse can't even sell 10000 copies a month and their Conan efforts have been pretty solid.
