  1. Not in hand yet but I am Super stoked to finally have a Blue Label Champ 22 that presents well (speaking of Joe Simon!!) I’m also over the moon with the Wonderworld 31 this makes only the 4th copy to be certified by CGC. Berks copy was a gorgeous 9.0 then the next highest is a 2.5. The presentation is stunning imo for a book of this grade which is right in my wheelhouse for my collection and has nice OW-White pages!! Couldn’t be more pleased!! the Library of Congress stamped Four Favorites 5 ain’t to shabby either for such a tough book. I’m not a hoarder so one of my copies will be for sale sooner than later.
  2. hehehehe so true!!!!! Yes she is totally aware of it and digs it haha!!! She knows I enjoy the capes swooping in to save the day and nothing more gentlemen like to save a woman in distress 😊 The straight bondage covers I wouldn’t go for UNLESS like I said there was a depiction of someone (preferably a super hero) on his or her way to rectify the situation!!
  3. I tend to agree with you on this one but love them both. I think the 54 being used in SOTI is a big draw for folks. When it comes to the series Blue Beetle itself I MUCH prefer issues 10,11, and 12 over both 52 and 54 and all 3 are significantly tougher to find than either the 52 or 54. Anything Blue Beetle is awesome though. I know that probably isn’t the popular opinion so I will run back to the rock I was hiding behind haha!!
  4. Has anyone here got their books scanned or photographed by CGC. I just did for the first time and grades are in but I can’t seem to locate the images? I know I will have them in hand shortly but the ones I’ve seen them do were really nice images and would like to have them. Thanks
  5. Thanks brother!!!!! I will probably only be a tracker but ya never know!! This is the stuff that excites me check out this offering I kick myself every day for not bidding more on Jon Berks copy when it hit the market. Blue Ribbon 19 there are still less than 10 copies on the census. Very tough book with a sweet hero/horror Captain Flag cover.
  6. There are a few real rarites in this auction that hardly ever come to market. That’s the stuff I gravitate towards and I am rather impressed with quite a few of the books this auction has to offer honestly.
  7. I’m not reading this thread as Im only 4 episodes in but Man this show is FREAKING AWESOME!!!!! I don’t post over here often but had to chime in this is great stuff!!!
  8. One of the coolest covers of all time imo!! beauty of a copy. I’ve come to rather enjoy the fleshy hands on our skeleton over the years and thought maybe it’s just part of the gauntlets hes sporting!! No skeletons in the Uncle Sam story if I recall but I believe George Washington makes an app!!
  9. Now I have to change my drawers that’s hilarious!! Cool book too!!
  10. He sure did HIT it out of the park with this one!! This book has been on my want list for awhile now!! Great copy!!
  11. I know I just bumped this thread with the nn Plastic Man but thought I could dig the Feature book out of the box and set em up side by side. Skull covers simply Rock!!

  13. That is a MONSTER book right there and I agree with @Robot Man Prize comics are en Fuego and for good reason!! Was this a Bob Storms book by chance? I know he had a real nice high grade Prize at the Cleveland show but can't remember the issue but it was Sweeeeeet!!!
  14. This is an absolutely spectacular all-time pic right here!!!!!!!
  15. WOW that is awesome!!! The charing armored elephant is SICK!!!! thats a Key that deserves some LOVE!!!
  16. jYeah that issue has a BEAST of an interior when it comes to splashes I love them all!! I thought I included this with the first post looks like I didn’t this is the first splash on the Wonderworld 31 it’s Metal!!. This is from my sold copy the one I just attained had foxing on it. Most definitely one of the Cazeneuve bros
  17. Thanks SOOOOO MUCH brother!!!! I share your sentiments man!! I think the artist your referring to is Louis Cazeneuve. From what I have gathered he also had a brother Arturo that many they both are Argentine artists who came to the US in 1939 and worked at the Eisner/Iger (Will and Jerry) shop. I do the -script for the US Jones story written by Bob Farrow at least he signed it. Hard to really pin this stuff down with the GA pseudonyms and what have you but one thing I do know is that I LOVE it!!!
  18. You DA MAN C!!!! Thanks so much brother!! I sure will my friend!!
  19. these are some of the greatest photographs I have ever seen!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!
  20. Ok folks this post will be intended to open discussions as well. I am Super Excited to present to my group of fellow GA maniacs my most recent Fox acquisition and I won’t lie I am over the moon with this one. Just arrived in the mail today what I consider to be one of the rarest superhero books out there. Only 3 copies on the census one of which I had previously owned and sold to a boardie to help him complete his run as he’s an awesome dude 😉 Heritage has never sold a single copy. I honestly believed there was a real good chance I would never stumble across another as the only other copy I had ever seen was Berks Mile High beauty and that was simply out of my range at this stage in my life. It was kind of a gamble as it was a raw book on ebay but when she arrived I was easily able to flip through all the pages which were to my joy all accounted for. It’s tape free and the pieces that were folded over in the pics were easily folded back. It has on the the coolest covers in the run imo I love the colors especially. Obviously our hero the Flame looks awesome, the monsters, the pick axe, and the double bondage don’t hurt either and for you early Planet lovers out there look...we even have Rivets!!! The half splash is legendary. Also love the cover comment,”Melting his way through the metal, the Flame dashed to the girl’s aid” 😂🤟 like hey? what about the guy hahaha!!?!!! The Flame had his priorities straight for darn sure!! There has been many a great debate about what the rarest books out there are and I am curious to hear my fellow boardies opinion on what they think may be as rare or rarer than this book from the great house of Fox Features Syndicate. I have heard possibly Zoot 2 or maybe even Wonder 2 but I think this is rarer than the Wonder although that is an AWESOME book and still very rare. Has anyone seen one of these in the wild or have a copy to share there is the 3rd CGCd copy that I would love to see if a boardie owns it!! I humbly present to you my newest book that I am so stoked to share with you guys and gals my wife said she loved the look on my face as I thumbed through it!! Without further ado... Wonderworld Comics #31
  21. Great book @MrBedrock!! I should also post a recent Blue Beetle in this thread!!
