Looking like my 1.5 will be to market sooner than later this book had great PQ and was just too straight not to bring home to Gino’s low grade rarity collection ?

I dig it!!! I have managed to upgrade a lot of my incomplete books over the years but haven’t been able to with my 9 either!! My copy suffered the same fate haha!! horrid pic i should probably dig this one out and show it some love

Got a couple books back from the Slaboratory and I am VERY pleased. I know the new slabs have been out for a bit but these books look so nice in them. Was very happy with the grades as well (i wrote down my guesses prior to and was within .5 on all of them which I guess isn’t hard with low grade books but still haha!! I had the BR at a 4.0/4.5 and it came back 4.5!!) I consider myself a very amateur grader with lots to learn but always fun to see yourself get close to what you expected. My only disappointed was the resto on the Prize and especially the PQ. I thought if any of these books came back even SB it would have been the Shield Wizard. I was able to flip through the Prize without issue. What gives I am not sure. Oh well it’s a rare purple cover with now a purple label so it’s color coordinated hehe!! Very happy with this small stack of funny books!!....

Alright gents let’s get back on track. To someone with more knowledge than me on the issue why is it that only my 2 SA books have the rings but the GA books? I did notice that my SA books look to have some kind of heat seal outside the well that be the cause due to it pressing against the book?

So as you can see here is one of the Golden Age books. No complaints it looks beautiful in its new slab like I stated couldn’t be happier not a ring to be seen. The book is slightly dirty next to Captain Flags head those aren’t rings... One of the SA books I got back. Nailed the grade and PQ but the slab is not so good. The rings cover the entire book. I guess when i think about it it kind of gives it that Mysterio illusion look ? Problem is it now looks filthy at certain angles and you have to hold it just right to get what the book actually looks like.

I just got a batch of several books back. The 5 Golden Age books look gorgeous in their case I couldn’t be happier so crystal clear. My 2 Silver age books Action 242 and ASM 13 look hideous i mean the puddling is BAD. I just opened the box today and it’s the first batch I have sent in with the “new” new holder with the inner well. I have several new holder books i have won via auction and had no issue but these 2 books just look a mess. They are whiter covers too as most of you know. I will be contacting CGC as i want to reholder all my slabs but I want to make sure this isn’t an issue before I shell out hundreds of dollars. CGC has always been very responsive and courteous to me in the past so I have no doubt the situation will get cleared up.
