The last book is Tales to Astonish #54, formerly CGC 8.5 - Asking $175.

This book also has no graders notes (I think it was graded during a time when graders notes were not captured for a certain grading tier), and it has one interior, production defect - A 1" tear at the centerfold on the left page (please see photo). My guess is that this was either factored into the grade or was not considered because it's a production defect.

The label will be included with the book:

I kept a copy of the scan of the book when it was slabbed as well:

I always thought, couldn't Giant-man just shrink down to Ant-man size?

  4. Not many people have contributed as much to the hobby (in my opinion) as Matt Nelson.

I had the pleasure of speaking with him in regards to books that I needed pressed for the

first time about 20 years ago before he sold the company.  He was always very personable

and patient and could turn around a book in 10 days for pressing (those were the days)!

I wish him all the best in his new position because he has definitely paid his dues :)

I collect Overstreet mainly because of my long history with the books and mags.  In addition to working on getting a complete run of the books, I'm collecting every OS mag (which seem to fit in a single long box).  OS has been part of my comic collecting hobby for my entire life, and I can't imagine not having them.  I think it's fun to read the market reports from the past.

Below are a couple of pics - taken at different times - of where I store the books.  I never spent a lot for them.  Usually I'll buy ones I'm missing from people here on the boards, often on the cheap (where shipping is often more than the cost of the books).  I'll probably wait until the end to buy the first edition as then I'll no doubt have to pay some big bucks.

That is just way to organized.  Can I come topple over your shelves:)

I bought this a few years ago for $33 off ebay and got it graded. A 9.6 just sold for under $6,500 this month. Something tells me i'm sitting on 5 grand if i can find a buyer. Best $33 i ever spent ^^  I'm actually debating if i should have it sent back and pressed in hopes for an even higher grade. I don't know if it's worth it?

What do the notes say about the book?  Even so I would try and hope to match the 9.6 and who know you

might be able to get 8k-10k out of sooner or later :)
