Bought my first Invincible Original Art at NYCC. I got it because it reminded me when my recent ex proposed to me. It's weird reason to get it for that purpose but it was a fond memory. Worth the purchase.

Thanks. After I receive them, I'll let you know if any included issues are in too bad of shape and need replacing also.
I'll take those damaged/ mid grade issues

So as of the mail today, I've officially completed my Invincible run!!
Big thanks to Steve as he helped fill in a good chunk. TXReplicant also sold my the first issue- thanks.
It was a lot of fun hunting down issues. As I mentioned earlier, my ASM run is all pricey books you don't stumble on in stores. Hunting for Invincible issues, however, was a different story.
I'm glad I finally finished it. I wish I'd done it back when I started reading the book because it would have been a bit cheaper.
you're welcome!
I got it. It was too good to pass up.If you need to fill the gaps, I've got the issues.

Looks like Invincible back issues are increasing more in price lately. Somehow #11 is the 2nd expensive book in the series, beating out # 2
Where are you seeing that??
Invincible #2 has a GPA 90 day average of $246 and last sale price was $260 in May whereas Invincible #11 sold for $100
Steve sells a lot of Invincible issues on eBay. He must have an endless pit of issues somewhere.
Gotcha. I'm guessing these are raws then?
(public sales records don't track raws, I think? Only graded ones)
yes, the raws are getting up in value. I almost posted the #11 for $35 and didn't notice that they had jumped sharply since the last one I had for sale awhile back.
I also try to buy up as much invincible back issues I see at comic book shops I drive by.

I'd wait til she's 13. It has some things kids shouldnt be exposed to too early.

If a store or show has back issues of Invincible for sale, which ones are you buying? Example: 1 thru 12.
Patrick
I'd buy them all. I'd also look for a copy of 16. I really miss 'Ringo
Interesting, but at what price point?
For instance, someone has a run of 70-80. What would be an acceptable price?
Or even 20-30.
Not looking sell, just gaging interest.
Patrick
I'd offer half cover for a run of 70-80
I'd offer full cover for a run of 20-30. They can cost up to 5 bucks for those issues individually.

13 falls in the lower print run. 14 and on were a strong uptick of orders. 10 was the lowest ordered issue, followed by 12, and then 11.
Villain first appearances haven't garnered much for demand, but the biggest would be #16 for Angstrom, #44 for Annissa, #61 Conquest, and Invincible Returns for Thragg.
13 had a weak cover but good for a small sketch op.
But when the series becomes mainstream , the villian and supporting characters will be worth something.

Buy 1-12. Low print run. That is all that can be said about that. There are key issues but they are not worth much.

I'd love how they get by grading this a 10...the bottom left and top left corners have one of those printer caused extended areas that most all of my non 10s have and the staple alignment is off

This seems very suspect. Top Left corner has fraying which eliminates it from being a 10

I always wondered. Is the universe that Invincible is based in the one created by Erik Larsen?
-
So in other news, I got a 12 year old girl reading Invincible. She's read from trades 1-20 and loves it.
-
Well, I just sold some more runs of invisible internationally. So it still has some fans wanting to read and collect.
-
At what issue did everyone jump in on the series?
For me, i first picked up Invincible when issue 39 was on the stands.
i jumped on right around 50 if i remember correctly.
Around when I got back into comics at Issue #110

All I have to say is Invincible # 1s are steadily increasing in price and I don't see them dropping anytime soon.
-
So I've been seeing out of my #1's and been selling back issues more often. Seems like there's a steady increase of fans and completionist.
-
It hould have been a double sized issue for 50 cents. 118 needed a bit more to attract new readers but, it was still a good issue.

I have a few graded Invincible #1's js

I just sold my last #1 9.8 for $600 and I'm out of the game.
thats gotta be a record for that book. congrats!
thanks. this book can only go up at the moment. All I have a raws , 8.5, 9.4's and 9.6's left over. Maybe 9.6 will still go back to it's old 300 selling spot.

I just sold my last #1 9.8 for $600 and I'm out of the game.
I can't wait to see another CGC 9.8 come up to market. I'm guessing maybe sometime next month at the earliest. I guess with only 100 or so in existence will make it awhile before it's readily available
-
Invincible #1 9.8 sells for 510
Looks like it's going to be a $500 book and maybe more.
Runs and individual runs are starting to sell really well. I see an uptick on individual issues prices.
Another one sold for $525 today

Here's a page of OA from issue #9 that I picked up quite a while ago. I used to be a regular reader of the book, but for some reason I stopped around issue 50 or so. I may have to pick up a few trades and catch up on things.
I've got a whole run of trades and random trades for trade/sell

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay. I'd value a #1 9.8 around $500.
It will . It's not readily available like Chew #1's and The Walking Dead #1's
It's only worth what someone is willing to pay. I'd value a #1 9.8 around $500.That definitely goes without saying.
The point is, there is a market price, and a 'I must have one at any price' price. All of my actual data points to ~ $500 being way over the "best known" market rate, which is why I wanted to double check and see if GPA was just not trustworthy on this book.
I'm interested to see what others say - thanks for chiming in!
To be fair you did kinda piggyback off of BChin22 's WTB Thread. I sold him the only one I was offering at the time for $425 shipped. The $400 was fair but there's apparently a demand for this book and I'm setting my prices high.
Chances are the #1 that I have listed on eBay will sell to an international buyer as there's been interest outside the US. I've been selling runs and individual issues to Spain , Canada , Germany and ECT. I'd know, as I've probably sold as much Invincible back issues as MCS.
