Followed The Authority in reading #14 again... Intense!
Someone posted this multiversity comics blog about East of West here I think. Warning, has tons of spoilers:
http://multiversitycomics.com/tag/this-american-death/
He digs deep into each comic. I reread from #1 for a quick look back.

So pumped for 14! It's been awhile since we've seen the three little ones, hopefully they were planning something big.
I'm curious to see how much the OA cover for #14 went at the cbldf auction last night, anyone know?
-
Anyone else have a #6 double cover?
-
Interview with Nick Dragotta about how toons. Sounds like most of the work was done previously. Just sharing it with the comic community now.
-
Reminded me a bit of the story about the old witches
who shared one eyeball
I really liked this issue.. In particular, the scene with Death was great.
So the Tracker has one of the Oracle's eyes.. I wonder who has the other?
How in the heck do you think the Tracker managed to get the Oracle's eye ? The Oracle seems very powerful and the Tracker reminds me of the opposite of power.
One of the horsemen must have game it to him. Since he pretty much runs that organization, he's obviously well informed. Must have been a strategic decision on their part
That makes sense. He may be a bigger player than I perceived him to be.
I believe death is going to be on the lookout for another eye... poor tracker...

Rated R preview of #9 at http://www.comicbookresources.com/
I would have linked it but it's NSFW so wasn't sure of rules and what not.
Super excited to see New Orleans in the EOW world and through the eyes of Dragotta. I've been there several times in the last couple of years, so much culture.

Nick Dragotta interview at NYCC, 12 mins long
http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=48873
enjoy

Met several boardies at Nick and Jon's table...thanks for stopping by! The line was constant, hope everyone was happy with their sigs and sketches. I know Nick and Jon appreciate the support!
Nick decided to tackle his pre-show list at home, to give them their full attention. Those will be 11X17. Because of overwhelming demand at the show, Nick also decided to attempt a few 11X14 commissions. He was constantly swamped at the table. It's a miracle he got any done at all, but he was actually able to finish three. Here are two of them...enjoy!:
That's awesome!
A summary of the panel at NYCC:

Ahhh I wish I could have been there!
Your stories ease the pain though
2 min interview of both Dragotta and Hickman at NYCC:
-
Even, though I didn't attend, I think it would've been so cool if they had given out an exclusive cover during the panel for those in attendance only.
Someone got you good on an April's Fool gag in mid October...
He did... He knows I'm a fan was was trying to make me jealous... punk
I got a gold cover Harbinger #1 for attending the valiant panel at Heroes, I was the perfect target for his little joke.
Happy B-Day btw, enjoy the show!
-
I was searching for panel info and apparently they gave out a black cover for attending. That's awesome, did anyone score that?
EDIT: There's no black cover!
I got trolled so hard
I'll leave that comment up to show how gullible I am... owned.
Some dude got the inside of the HC signed and said it was a black cover, fell for it
-
The panel at NYCC should be starting now... So jelly... When you guys who attended the panel get out, can you share some highlights? I went to a marvel panel hickman sat in on in Heroes and it was awesome. He told people to buy Lazarus when it comes out
At a marvel panel...
-
i may go, we'll see what else is going on.
you should ask him on twitter
I forget about twitter sometimes
I'll ask.
-
Are you guys going to be attending the East of West panel? On the tenth I think it is.
I've been wondering if the acronym EOW was intentional...
It means "end of watch" which is the end of a shift for police. Can also be used for the date of the last day served if an officer is killed
But probably more fitting it means "end of the world", if it was intentional that is.
I was wondering if someone at the panel or bumps into Jonathan Hickman can maybe ask to see what he says.
What do you guys think? Personally I think it means end of the world.

Death's steed! Almost...
Where's the laser y'know?

I met Nick at Heroes Con earlier this year, hooked me up with an awesome sketch of a soldier with an 82nd patch on his shoulder. Comic highlight of the year for me. I deployed with the 82nd. They were around kicking it back in MP times so the era fits Nick slapped a nice little mustache on him also, rebel
I can upload a pic of the sketch tonight if you guys are interested.
Shoooow it!!!
He knocked it out with the quickness, less than a minute, there was a bit of a line. Epic status in my book. It's on the inside cover of my trade.

***NICK DRAGOTTA COMMISSION ANNOUNCEMENT***
Nick will be taking a VERY limited number of commission requests for NYCC. This will be for 11X17 commissions. You do not have to attend the show to be on the list. Nick has generally stayed away from full-on commissions in the past, choosing instead to sketch for free at signings as well as doing simple sketches at cons. This is a rare opportunity. Please PM me if interested. Thanks!
Does this mean he will not be sketching at the show?
I expect he will be sketching at the show, but as always, it will depend on his schedule. And if he does sketch, they'll be his smaller con sketches (typically 9X12) and not the larger, more detailed commission he's offering here.
Thank you again!
Animated Spawn was awesome on HBO btw!
Also... It appears midtown found a box of #1 first prints. No limit it seems, but they bumped the price to six bucks.
-
Nice. What prices / timeframe are you discussing with him?Just an FYI for OA fans, Nick doesn't do all EoW art digitally. He does choose to hand draw some, including this bookplate. Several covers exist as pen/ink originals, too. I am helping him with the sale of his art so if/when EoW stuff becomes available, I will announce it here. Thanks!(may have to shift some books...)
Still being worked out. Sorry, wish I had more details, but Nick's priority is getting the book out on time (as it should be). Everything else is secondary. Again, I will let you guys know first when Nick is ready.
THANK YOU!!!!!
Yes, Thank you! Can't wait for #6 either.

Nick Dragotta shared this on twitter.
I believe that dog is going to steal the show.

A newb question regarding comichron asterix. What does it represent?
I'm assuming it has something to do with the subsequent printings because I don't see the 4th print of #1 and 2nd of #2,3.
