A bit off topic as its not a true ashcan, but has anyone found confirmed information on Maxx #2 mini comic Platinum edition? I've read that there were 15 made, also that there were 25 made. I have no idea if either of those are true.

How so?
Try finding a Red #2

Cheap? Blue and reds were moving at the 30-50 dollar range in 2011.
Better off asking ibeforej and haydento what they paid
Right, but Red #2 (and graded) is different.

I’ll tell ya, for all the attention the blacks and yellows get, there haven’t been a whole lot of sightings of the #2 red. I listed a CGC 7.0 in a no reserve eBay auction and it went for $260 last year.
maybe RMA can chime in with a little GPA data. ??Ha! $260? That seems ridiculously cheap. That was the last one I needed for years!

HaydenTO... I've got to give you a shout out, and a proper applause. It is not an easy road, and you nailed it.
I need one more to join you (though still need to grade several)... But I will get there
Congrats my friend!

I'm a bit late to the party... But big ups to MetalPSI for the thread

Anyone currently looking? I am missing only 2 of the 12, and open to offers.

How many yellow #3's out there? Are you saying that those would be worth over $2k if they are graded at 7.5 or above? And as far as silver age Marvels for sale....? How exactly is that connected to Maxx ashcans? 2K for a 7.5 Black 3 is ridiculous.. $2k for a 9.0 Black #1 'AP' is a whole different story. You cannot compare the two.
-
However, $2k+ for a #3 is ridiculous
-
Just ignore the prices from their "guide." A yellow #3 is worth $900 compared to a black #2 at $400? And all three blacks should have the same or similar value as there are 50 of each of them. I'd actually say value can't be determined on the blacks since the sales are off the wall. That, and the lack of sales. Black #1's have sold for between $200 and $2000 in the last two years.
Agreed... These values seem to be based on the assumption that the entire set is the intended goal.. The blacks are obviously the most desired, and therefore highest valued of the set

I was lucky enough to find #28

Great color.. the pics of the front cover the guy had on the listings look very faded in comparison to the backs.

I have no problem with taking a stand, however getting over excited over something that can not be changed is a waste of time. You obviously have your opinions and take stands, and I respect that. What I do not respect is someone just being rude.

Wow.. calm down.. you seem to be in a battle with yourself here. I meant no harm, or insult. I apologize if I added to your anger. It was not intentional

I am just glad all my transactions here have been extremely pleasant ones with people who understand a comics intrinsic value.

Stealing? I was commenting on eBay and Paypal's ever increasing fees and collections. Do you truly believe those to be fair? And when they next increase the amounts.. will those to be fair? eBay isn't hurting, and would still take in listing fees for the auction.
I use eBay, but I'm not going to be friends with it.

He cheated all the potential bidders, himself, and eBay.
Did I read this right? Someone cheated eBay!! Oh the horror!!!
-
Are there any Red #2's and 3's out there for sale? Or are they more a random occurrence?

Nicely done!

Not sure of your reason for the comment. Red #2 has not been an easy one to find as mentioned by Baslug previously. One just popped up on ebay for $400 but pictures offer no idea of condition. Red #2, Yellow #3, Black #3, all seem hard to acquire out of the bunch.
