For what it is worth, I did a transaction with oceanavekid for All Star Comics #58 CGC 9.6 a while back and the transaction went off without a hitch. I had no issues and comic was great.

Venom rocks! I hope they stick with the movie plans and get it right. I picked this up over 1 year ago and glad I did as prices have been rising.

Bought a pretty major book (Hulk 181 CGC 9.4) from Greg. Great service, great product. Arrived packaged well too. Highly recommend!

Any recommendations on nice Marvel statue manufacturers for characters such as: Iron Man, Wolverine, Spider-Man, etc? Where best to buy (eBay, LCS, Con, etc)?

Looking to buy first, nice quality statues to place near some key marvel slabs.

I have been searching and searching for a good priced ASM#300 in 9.8 grading.... you can't seen to find one anywhere under $1000... i might start considering looking at a 9.6 grading now.

I think the are reasonably going for $1000-1200 (and unreasonably be hawked on eBay for $1600-2000). Regardless, good luck with the search. They are likely headed up with the Venom movie coming. Hopefully they do a good job with the movie/-script/casting/special effects.

Just got mine back... Original copy I bought and read back when it came out! I guess if I hadn't read it, it may have been better!

Actually, I would say the average is closer to $800-850. According to GPA, the 90 average is $849 with the last five sales being:

Totally agree on the auction end day of week and time. Not ideal to maximize "auction action". Still this comic was $300 not very long ago (mid summer)!

We need more data points to know for sure. I did notice the $860 SS 9.8 jumped from $560 to $860 within the last 20 seconds. Hard to tell from one or two sales. I think we will all know more after 3-6 months of sales data now that the prices have really picked up.

GPA has data on BA#12 9.8 going back to 2009. It basically was a $100 book for last few years and started to head higher in 2012 (high of $300) and popped in 2013.

A new CGC 9.8 SS just hit eBay with auction starting price at $1000 and BIN of $1300. (Note: this is not my comic. Just reporting.) Will be interesting to see if these new 9.8's get snapped up and in what timeframe.

How does the Census drop for 9.8's? Does CGC know when someone breaks open a slab? Someone who is smarter than me, please help explain this?

CGC 9.8 on eBay is at $700 (23 bids) with 4d+ to go! Still think it will end at $900+. just not that many 9.8's out there AND for sale.

Let's see. Today is 10/28/13 and BA#12 census says there are 104 books in CGC 9.8 (none higher), 91 books in CGC 9.6 and 297 total books graded.

I personally doubt it. The CGC process is not that fast and I (for one) do not believe there will be as many 9.8's found and graded as some on the boards do. Time will tell who is right and who is wrong. It will also be interesting to see how market prices do for this book between now and the next summer.
