  1. the size of the cover is the big tip off they never drew covers that small in the 40.s. also. I have never seen white out that look so white while being over 70 years old. no way. I have art with white out from 20 years don't look that white.

so yeah. a decent looking fake. but no way this is the real deal. just look at what he is selling. nothing he has is real.

  2. some people just don't give up. ebay is the only place he can get away with this same ol lame story about buying this stuff in an art fair.

he has been on ebay for years and everything he sells comes from an art fair on the street, please give me a break. it a shame you just email the bidders and tell them the stuff is fake.

  3. the bottom line is ebay is too big to really care. when you sell million of dollars worth of goods daily. a lot of fakes will not be caught. and ducoso is counting on that.

something like would never take place in a comic art auction. as the item would be pulled the day it spotted. so until ebay get smart. this guy will keep passing these phony pieces off on ebay.

  4. ducoso. will sell fakes as long as ebay keep watching with there eyes closed as they have nobody there that knows anything about comic art. and I just feel sorry for anybody that get took by this guy. as most people that buy this stuff think they see a coa and its got to be real.

as for the maroto,s clearly they are recreations. by him nice but I never been a fan of recreations. if I cant have the original, then I don't want it. but to each there own..

  5. just stay away from that stuff its pure garbage. if you want real production art then just get a stat of the art.. leave the transparencies. stuff alone. it not worth the material it printed on. .

  6. while. I love the series. I have not thought a lot of about picking up any art to this series. I was at a comic show and a dealer had a few pages in the 200 to 400 range but that was almost a year ago. I tend to pick up art that ten years or older. so iam not used to picking pages from brand new stories. unless it very cheap. $ 150.00 or less. I think as more and more people are watching. the show.

there will be a run for original art from the books. I see a few big money spenders going on a buyers spree and start scooping up all the early or choice pages. and that will effect the prices staying high, iam sure the show and book will end someday. so for now I would just buy what you like and what you can afford. that,s the basic rule of original art.. and if you can turn a profit on the page in the future , that,s all good. ;]
