  1. So you're basing the value of these books solely on the entertainment market? What about the collector market?
  2. Pump and dump has nothing to do with the books you mentioned. It's fan hype, spending money foolishly because they don't know the in's and out's of a long term market. However, I think you too may be misinterpreting the data based on a small window. It's stayed fairly level since the spike on the announcement of the first movie. There was a slight drop in between the two.
  3. It's pre-selling for $70 shipped on the bay. So, I assume it will be cheaper. Wasn't Captain Marvel over $70 plus shipping?
  4. Looks like it's a retailer preview from the back.
  5. What's on the back of the Orphan Black comic? I'm pretty sure that was included in a subscription box at one time.
  6. I hadn't notice before, but now I see where the inspiration for Sloth from the cinematic masterpiece Gonnies came from. But those loafers.....those loafers.....
  7. Fanotmex is a fan favorite. Even after all of these years of the hype dying down, his first appearance still sells for $20. You would be luck to squeeze $20 out of the first Jubilee and she's been fairly well received. Fantomex, as was previously mentioned, was also the major player in the Remender X-Force run which is considered a classic run.
  8. So I've heard from one source the toy section and one, third party, the game section. I went to two stores and neither had them in the toy or card section. Didn't know about the game section possibility at the time. I guess these are just now being put out in most stores though.
  9. Eternals and Miles are tied into a bigger connected universe with established characters. Many people have been speculating on Eternals for a long time now as the end of the Thanos era was impending. I'll give you Shang Chi.
  10. Because of what I'm calling the Deadpool effect. There are many on here that will say NM 98 could be pulled out of a $1 bin for a long time. Same with UF #4. I've pulled big stacks for $1 years ago. Sold most to J Silver Janet I believe for about $10 a pop thinking I could get them again for $1 down the line. The same as NM 98 many years ago. I see UF 4 to be on the same path. It will go up, not come down.
  11. Right, I'm saying long term. Deadpool took a decade to get anywhere close to what Miles has done in 5 years. A "new" look at the most popular character that Marvel has that appeals to the newer generations. And then we can get into the inclusion differences between the two properties.
  12. There are so many X-Men that have appeared in films that it might not do a whole lot in terms of value. The major players in X-Men have been established for about 30 years. The only one since then that I would put some money into would be Fantomex.
  13. Wait, you're holding Power Pack over Miles Morales? It's not that there aren't plenty out there. It's the age old rule of supply and demand. I don't see any reason for demand of Power Pack looking into the future besides a uptick on a movie or show being made. Miles on the other hand, IMO, has very long term potential. Similar to the NM 98 effect.
  14. I can never find that book in high grade. Was it a show or something? It was a little before my time. I know they have been talking a movie for years now.
  15. Ha, sell any PP. I'm not selling any Miles though. I have room to hold a few books that have big potential.
  16. Batman Damned #1 is four months old and still seems to be doing pretty well. There really is no predictable formula anymore. Even books like Rags #1 (Antarctic) is still selling for crazy money after there were some market controversies. White Widow from Absolute Comics selling well. Two independent books which usually don't make it to Friday before the bottom falls out. What hurt Superman #7 Walmart is that the hype was built buy national news outlets which created speculation that it would be recalled. Which has not happened and most likely will not at this point. So the interest fell out.
  17. That's usually how it goes. Note that it's only Vol. 2 & 3 from that as well. Not Vol. 1. Amazon is priced way over these sales too.
  18. Got some heat back after it had been trailing. New high: X-23 #1 Dell Otto 9.8 $1,955
  19. This book has held value for a while. I remember Divad posted a sale a while back and included the black suit in the listing and it caused a stir on here.
