So, they had almost a year to plan for this and still shorted shops by not creating a true FOC and printing before orders were in. Take what you will from that about "get the books in the hands of reader"....

    Their whole idea was to change the way things were done. Which they did. But some are not sure that it was done with the best intentions. Also, people don't like change in general.

    Hollywood follows trends in what works and what people want to see. They then try to find comics that fit that niche.

    Not really. There are lots of books that get optioned before they are even released. Owner has their own production company and is already established. So, no again.

    Marvel or DC has done this recently. I don't recall what book it was for. Either way, I don't understand the logic of a 1st and 2nd print releasing on the same day. If the book has not been released why would you not print more to meet the initial demand?
