  1. Don't make the mistake I did about five weeks ago. I sent a JIM 85 in and forgot to write the magic letters on the outside of the box. On Walkthrough you need to write WK on the outside of the box to speed things up. On Express it's EX on the outside of the box. I sent in 95% of my high dollar books years ago before they were high dollar books so not used to these tiers. Called CGC and they said they won't look for my box and it will get in the proper pipeline when they open it. Which right now will be at least another 5 weeks.

  2. I was about to buy this comic this morning but saw the trimmed label and figured it could be an issue down the road when I retire from collecting. I too have some comics with mistakes on the CGC label. Most common for me is on Gold Key comics they sometimes get the wrong issue number as Gold Key used a date code on their covers . One of my last submissions they did it again until I had to email them when I saw the verified page with the incorrect info. Actually I had to email them twice as after a number of days it still was not corrected.

  3. I've been reading Thor for a long time and The early Journey into Mystery stories are somewhat weak until Issue 112 on. I feel Lee and Kirby started to hit their stride about that time and they had a golden run for the most part until Jack left the series sixty some issues later.

My favorite storylines are from these issues even more than Walt Simonson's run years later.

So if you continue your Journey and Thor reviews I expect you will see more four and five out of five's in the coming issues.

  4. Surfer,

Fantastic copy! I had to put on shades to save my eyes from the gloss. It's a great feeling to buy a raw copy at a lower price and send it in and get a gem back. Also congratulations on breaking the 30,000 point barrier! Keep posting and I'll keep reading.
