  1. lol I skipped CGC this time around on the Fetts. I honestly thought it would hold up as well as the first one, just didn't have the money to slab them. Glad that was the case.

I'm guessing some of the action figure covers will see a bump closer to movie time, but with all the different Star Wars books & variants out, I'm not as confident as I once was that it'll happen.

  2. the value on the C2E2 is much greater isn't?

Maybe…there's a good chance the B&W Boba may reach those numbers too. I don't mind waiting to see if they do, I'm just curious if anyone is open to the trade if they do.

I'd doubt in honestly. Even if the price on the #7 Boba caught up, I'm thinking the C2E2 will stay much harder to find in general. 2c

If I had to guess, I'd say Boba sketch cover will settle around $100 once its all said and done, in the short to mid term at least. The C2E2 will still be the highest priced by a large margin.

  3. When the new movie comes out, it will be the perfect time to list full runs of action figure sets for new a generation fans to buy in.

I wonder what a full set could go for?

I'd guess less than if they were broken up and sold during the high point for each cover, yet that's come and gone for a few. Come movie time I think most collectors would already have the ones they want the most and with a few more to come before the movie the previous covers will dip a bit by then. Just my opinion.

Do you think the C2E2 B&W Luke Sketch cover has already peaked?

I feel that's a question best left for others in this thread. IMO it may be one of the few with staying power, along with Boba.

    My 2c

I don't see any except C2E2, #2 Han, and both Bobba's keeping too much heat. I'm putting sets together, but won't be expecting much return from the others.

  4. Why is this book so popular & more importantly, why are people willing to pay so much?

Is it key a issue or something?

Its just people chasing a variant. The reasons Krighton mentioned are why its doing better than most.

With the first Boba cover still seeing 50+, I think this one will settle above that for at least a while.

  6. If memory serves he was doing something uncool at C2E2. I cant remember if he was asking for even more money to sign it, or refusing to NOT sign it to a specific person. One of those.

Some boardies felt he was impolite and unpleasant. That + the increase in price was where the complaints came in if memory serves.

  7. This is my favorite thread.

I'll be buying as many Star ars AF covers as they release. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to get ANY of the Secret Wars covers, so I'll likely be playing catch up with those sometime in the future.

Need to grab a few of the BW Boba's to keep my complete sets going. hm

I saw that! I bet you were thinking "where did my post go?"

    lol Yea, doh! moment there.

I deleted it from the other thread a pasted it here.

  9. Wonder if losing the artist hurt the TV show prospects. The buzz balloon pretty much popped after that happened.

I agree the events with the artist hurt the momentum and it would seem might have affected it.

Our sales have increased. Our pre orders for volume 2 were five times the amount than for volume 1.

And that article didn't get the whole context of the conversation. So, that was swell of him to write without asking me any f@cking questions.

It has expired, but is in the process of being renewed.

    Sheesh, you negative Nellie's!

    :applause:

    Awesome news Kurtis!

I have no doubt we're going to be hearing about Rat Queens for a long time to come.
