  1. Art of Glamour correctly left #120 off the list of Baker work in Jumbo. The CGC note is probably based on the Overstreet Price Guide, which as recently as the 50th edition misattributed Sky Girl to Baker through issue #130. (It may still be wrong in the 51st edition, which I don't have.)
  2. Sorry. I should have read your post more carefully. Feldstein doesn't come to mind when I see PL 17 (just my opinion again), but Kamen certainly does.
  3. Too bad Kamen didn't specifically discuss covers with you. Perhaps Kamen and Baker collaborated in some way on the cover of PL17. To my eyes, the covers of Fight 47 and All Top 13 (both attributed to Kamen), when compared to Phantom Lady 17, bear more Kamen hallmarks than Baker. The hair, the eyebrows, the staring eyes, and the mouths are all similar. BUT THAT IS JUST MY OPINION. Everyone else is free to think whatever they like. I am not trying to change anyone's mind. I'm just stating what I see.
  4. So, he did not bring up the drawing of PL 17. Which of his covers did he discuss with you?
  5. You'll get no argument from me. It's not a popular opinion, but I've long doubted that Baker did that cover.
  6. Regardless of what the label says, those figures and faces are too wonky to be Matt Baker.
  7. I believe I've seen that copy before. The late Bart Bush had it in his private collection and showed it to me at an OAFCon in Oklahoma a few years ago. Bart had this one, too. https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?ItemID=55987224
  8. I often wonder about those Sixth Street books. The family supposedly fought over them and pulled them from the market, but you'd think someone would have cashed in by now.
  9. Fresh from CGC, here are more of my personal original owner books. My scanner is sometimes adding creative glares and streaks, but the books are all true beauties. If you need additional pics, just let me know. First “I'll Take It!” in the thread wins and trumps all private negotiations. Please make sure to quote the book you are taking. Payment must be made by PayPal within 48 hours of invoice, which will be provided to buyers via PM. Please do not rescind your take or swap with others on the thread. US buyers only; shipping to US PayPal verified addresses only, via USPS Priority Insured. Shipping $15 1st slab, +$3 per additional slab. No returns on slabbed books. No probation listers or HOSers.
  10. I have the 4th and the 6th editions. Grading example photos are all the same. The cover, ads and some articles are different.
  11. Price discount on the 7.5 Batman 171! 7.5 sold on the Bay this week (3/3/2022) for $2350. Now, my 7.5 is marked down here to $2150.
  12. Here we go again! But this time, there are 4 different new listings, identical except for the item #. https://www.ebay.com/itm/313883146841?hash=item4914e4ba59:g:IlsAAOSwM8thmnRx https://www.ebay.com/itm/194854795576?hash=item2d5e403938:g:IlsAAOSwM8thmnRx https://www.ebay.com/itm/313883104722?hash=item4914e415d2:g:IlsAAOSwM8thmnRx https://www.ebay.com/itm/175167086928?hash=item28c8c5a150:g:IlsAAOSwM8thmnRx
  13. It is a great issue, featuring classic D ick Sprang art on a story with the "Loch Ness Monster." If I didn't have a raw undercopy that I enjoy reading, I would not sell this one.
  14. If you check out the account's Sold items, they're all from a place in the UK. The new batch of rare comics, however, are all in the US, and the scammer has put their direct contact info in one of the images.
  15. Richard would have to speak for himself, and the video is no longer online, but I believe the video was mainly about cracking open CBCS slabs, and the point was that he found cracked-out books sometimes sold better than they would have had he left them in the slab.
  16. When he had a YouTube account, Bedrock posted a video about CBCS vs. CGC, in which he said, "CGC graded books tend to bring a little bit more return on the dollar. And, in certain areas, we've even found that books raw sell a little better than graded." My guess is, the other company would also share that distinction.
  17. DETECTIVE COMICS 198 CGC 8.5 1953 Batman displays his manly legs, carefully angling his descent so that no one can see up his kilt. Tied for 2nd highest graded. Only 1 higher. (Other 8.5 is not quite as nice and lacks the QES designation, but it sold at Clink auction in 2020 for $2500.) $1950
  18. BATMAN 171 CGC 7.5 1st Silver Age Riddler (CGC 7.0 sold on the Bay last November for $2307.50, according to GoCollect.) 7.5 sold on the Bay this week (3/3/2022) for $2350. $2395 $2150
