Damn, at this rate I will barely be able to afford the staples from a copy!
About 18-24 months ago I had a chance at a raw g/VG copy for 7300 CSD and the same grade now is going for about twice that much.
I didn't have the funds at the time but I could probably do it now. What a bummer!
If anyone has a lower grade entry level copy available please shoot me a pm.
Raw, graded, restored, etc. I'm open to anything?
Thanks

I find the stories behind the comics more interesting than seeing the same cover for the umpteenth time, where is the love for the artwork, characters and writers. The images of the Scorpion, Rhino and the Master-planner storyline's are magnificent and iconic. This is what got me into collecting Spidey in the first place. Today's Spidey has lost his appeal but thank goodness there are still many of his past appearances yet to find. If a story is good like the DeWolf or Name of the Rose and the classic Last hunt then it can only help the character progress, yes I was one of those One more day haters. That was not the moralistic Spidey I knew and loved, his morals were on par with Cap, he cares.
Well said....though I still collect and sometimes enjoy current Spidey issues One More Day was a pile of garbage and QuesAda should be ashamed.
Amazing Spider-Man: Spiral by Gerry Conway recently was a good read.
Nothing beats those silver age classics though.

Found Deadpool #1 yesterday at used book store Vf/nm+ for a great price.
The '97 monthly title.

If anyone is willing to sell an ASM #4 variant on the cheap or a reasonable price send me a pm.

This just arrived today. Bought off a fellow boardie
Sorry for the poor pic, will have to get a scan soon.
Been wanting to grab this ish for some time.
-
Love the Spidey's Ken.
The MTUs are really nice too and usually don't break the bank.
-
I'll pretty much grab any condition 2.0 or better that's still complete and complete cover as long as the price is right.
Then I'll upgrade it soon as I find another copy and sell off the under copy.
I keep note of how much I pay for each so as long as I break even on under copies I'm happy.
It's kind of fun to sell off a bunch of low to mid grade books and then use the money to buy 1 or 2 other (higher grade) books I'm missing.

I;m collecting full ASM run, #1 to current (excluding variants but I;ll grab the odd one if I really like it). Have about 115 issues to go below #254. I have every issues between #255-current issue (vol. 3 #15).
I might try to grab an AF #15 but it;s quickly getting out of reach price-wise.
For other series I;m just working on collecting the best creative team run. For example, right now working on Walt Simonson Thor run and Claremont Uncanny X-Men run.
After those probably work on PAD Incredible Hulk run and Bendis Daredevil.

Dylan O'Brien Cast As The New SPIDER-MAN!?
-------------------
Ever since the announcement of Sony and Marvel teaming up to bring Spider-Man into the Marvel cinematic universe fans have been wondering who will be portraying the web-slinging, Spider-Menace and after a whole month of speculation according to a Reddit user known as 'redditleaker23456' Sony has found their new Spider-Man in the form of Teen Wolf actor, Dylan O'Brien. I also want to mention that this reddit user also dropped the news of the Sony/Marvel ahead of its announcement. Well how did Dylan O'Brien get the part? Apparently Dylan O'Brien gave Sony the "audition of his life" and that Sony "loved what they saw from him". Furthermore, Dylan O'Brien managed to beat out Logan Lerman because Sony felt "Dylan had a better grasp and feel of the tone they were going for".
-------------------
He looks perfect for the role!
Plus Godard at the helm and potentially RDJ and Avengers cameos in the new film, plus no re-telling of the origin?
This sounds awesome! So glad Marvel has their hands on this.
As long as the RDJ and Avengers appearance is more limited to end of the film, say after he saves the day they come up to him and ask...so, how do you feel about being an Avenger?
Boom! End film before he can answer and is just caught speechless staring at them!
Of course, it would be cool if he approaches them mid-film thinking he'd get paid but they turn him down...kinda like when he tried to join the FF in ASM #1...
...but this time Avengers come back to recruit him after he saves the day by himself.
Just some ideas but this all has mega potential!!!!!!

This is a cool thread, some interesting stuff about Bob Kane's PC and Joker's boner, . I came for the chance to look at Batman #1 covers and got so much more out of it, !
Just FYI, since I thought someone here might be interested, I'm selling a cover only of Batman #7, it's a pretty cool cover Batman #7 Cover only

Still looking
Any more leads out there...

Sick books guys!
Love that raw group shot too!

Thor #80 has been a difficult issue to find ever since it came out. Such a small print run. I bet those sales figures are skyrocketing on GPA.
I'm re-reading the Simonson run now. It's been years since I've read it. It's been my favorite overall storyline from any comic series ever since I first read it. I'm on #340 now and it's just as spectacular to read this time as it was the first time!
I'm actually working on collecting that run right now so I can read it for the first time, !
Read the Beta Ray Bill issues so far, great stuff!

Just curious, what would say a G/G+ raw but restored copy go for these days?
Seems like there's not as big a spread on restored copies of this book compared to other books...is it just me or are others seeing this too?
