Nope. It was a Tomb of Dracula issue 12 page that featured Blade (3rd appearance of Blade). I traded it in order to acquire a Spider-Man page , and I don’t regret my decision whatsoever. You gotta give good stuff in order to get good stuff. Unless your rich, then you can just acquire non-stop without ever needing to trade away your acquisitions (which isn’t my case unfortunately).

And an honorable mention for Frenz. Loved his work on the title, but I feel he’s just behind these 4. No knock on any I’ve left out, either. Spidey has had a lot of spectacular artists. 

Totally agree that there’s plenty debate, and many left behind. Bagley, Saviuk, Stegman, Larsen, Romita JR., etc.

Just curious as to what horror stories do boardies have when it comes to buying a comic art piece at a certain price, then selling it for less that u paid.

Ex.: bought an art piece from the artist for $1000 then putting it on the bay where it ended at $600, etc.

Completely and whole-heartedly agree with this. At this point, I can’t fathom why artists would be repped by spencer. They’re basically losing (or delaying the process of making) money. When an art rep updates they’re site annually or longer, it basically says I got better things to do.

I always loved Frenz art on any book. He was one of the best on spidey, one of the best on Thor, etc.

I’m happy to have a page of his that contains Thor, Hulk, Captain America, etc.

Got two scary pages..... one with Hobgoblin talking to Betty Brant (Hobgoblin lives mini-series) & and the other page features Blade (tomb of Dracula comics).

My fav inexpensive page cost me $50 in 2016 at a comicon...... bought it from Valentine deLandro himself . It’s a splash page of M infected by the legacy virus.

I have a bunch (bought them mostly when I was a student on a tight budget).

although they pale in comparison to omnibuses , for the price they can hardly be beat.
