Star wars #1 9.8 have soften abit from 6K to about 4K based on CL's auction. Good time to grab one if you are still looking for it.

TBH, i could well be one of those potential naive buyers. I initiated this post with thought that the winning bidder has got a great deal, after seeing the seller's abundance of 100% positive feedback.

Congrats. You have made a sound investment. Keys like this are always highly sort after. In a normal Supply vs Demand model, when demand goes up, supply remains the same, price will only go up. Check back 10 years later and you will most likely smile you made this decision. Time is your best friend in this hobby.

I would love to see prices going up but the climb recently has been much steeper than the past. This is unprecedented for sure!

Agreed. Another reason is perhaps SW1 price has been pretty flat for the past donkey years. The uptrend is normal imo.

If you have been following the prices, the 9.8 have reach high 2K and some even hitting above 3K. That's a fast surge in demand for sure.

If you can afford a unrestored grade, go for it. Either way, you can't go wrong because AF15 is a book that is still highly sort after, restored or not.

Mandalorian stirs up a lot of interest for new comers like my kid.

Cash some out when retire and leave 1 memorable book to each kid.

My favorite copy is the silver version without the price printed on the cover.
