    Great goal!

What tier did you submit? If you submit Walkthrough and Express, always make sure to write the abbreviations on the box you ship the comics in. They open those much sooner. If Standard, Economy or Modern, unfortunately yeah it's just a waiting game due to the back log. I don't mind it personally, but yeah would be nice to get them received sooner if possible.

I'm also good with the grading times. I just want confirmation that they have received the submissions. I know they were delivered due to the tracking information. But is seems to take up to 2 full weeks from when they receive the delivery to when they even acknowledge that they received anything.

  2. My goal for 2021 is to have 100% full run of Captain Marvel Adventures all CGC graded. I have 3 submissions I have sent into CGC already. They seem to take up to 2 weeks from when the submissions are received at their facility before they list the submissions as being received. Then the extended wait time while they try to work through the back log of submissions. I would like to see the receipt of submission updated much sooner as that tells us that our books are not just floating around in a warehouse or mail room somewhere.

  3. Okay CGC world. I need help upgrading 5 issues. I need a Captain Marvel Adventures 136, 107, 98, 26 and 8. I am only interested in books already CGC graded and minimum grade of 5.0.

I recently sent another 18 issues to CGC for grading which will bring me to 144 CGC graded issues of this run. The ever elusive #1 still eludes me, mainly cause I just cannot afford it right now.

  4. I now have 149 of 150 issues in the Captain Marvel Adventures series. 109 are CGC graded, a few graded by CBCS. I am looking to upgrade some of the later raw issues, 149, 148, 144, 142, 139, 136, 133, 132, 131, 130, 126, 125, 124, 120, 118, 115, 114, 112, 111, 107

If anyone has a line on any of these in CGC 7.0 or higher message me. I want to increase the 109 CGC copies I have and boost my ranking. My ultimate goal is having the entire run and all CGC graded.

  5. I am offering my Worlds Finest #7 - UNRESTORED -  CGC graded 6.0 with Off-White to White pages. The case is in great condition, no cracks or anything. Overstreet guide values this book at $639

    I am asking $600

Free Priority Mail shipping with in the USA

No returns on CGC graded comics

I will keep this listing open for 4 weeks until Feb 28th 2019. This book is not listed for sale anywhere else, just here on CGC site.

As far as payment for the book I have a PayPal account, checks are okay but must clear before the book can ship, money orders or even cash, just not bags of pennies.

If you have questions please post them up.

  6. I am offering my Captain Marvel Adventures #150, CGC 5.0.  Picture is below, sorry it is sideways.

Shipping will be via USPS Priority mail, tracking number included. Shipping cost to be determined based on ship to location. But, only exact shipping cost will be charged, I will never over charge for shipping.

Returns accepted as long as returned in as shipped condition. I just want you to be happy.

Open to all offers but asking $118. Willing to accept any really crazy high offers well above reasonable guide value. Let your money bring me happiness. This book is not offered anywhere else. This book is in my possession, I own it personally. But, I want someone else to own it. Please CGC do not delete this post. I have tried so hard to follow all the rules, I just want to please the team, Team CGC.

The only way this can be sold is if all requirements per CGC messaging boards are met. No exceptions. I accept all CGC messaging board rules and live by them daily. My entire life is governed by CGC marketplace rules, I love the rules. There should be more rules.

  7. Anthony had the book I needed. I paid through the nose for it, but that was my fault and the fault of the crazy marketplace on eBay. I sent the book off to CGC to be graded. Sometimes when ya really need that one book to complete a comic run, you are willing to pay for it. The book arrived VERY WELL PACKED and FAST. I would buy from Anthony again.  Now, find me a Daring Comics #9 and 11.

Snake - were you able to pick up a copy in your WTB thread?  I saw THB sent you a PM and hoping you may have been to close a deal :wishluck:

I accepted his price and bought it. As soon as it arrives it is off o CGC. Then back into my collection. I am now only missing 2 issues to have the entire run of Captain Marvel Adventures.

    I need #1 and #18, that's it!!!

  9. Just bumping this post back into the here and now. I continue to look for a copy of Captain Marvel Adventures #128. If you have one to sell please let me know. I am trying to complete the run from 1-150 and am only missing three books.

Missing #1 - Only rich people can buy this book, so I may never own it

Missing #18 - Always sold for multiples of guide, and I continue to try and grab a copy without having to sell a major internal organ

Missing #128 - Guide value seems to mean little, book is not rare or even expensive, just as hard to find as an honest politician in DC

  10. I see these cute little ribbon looking awards on the sides of many collections. How does one achieve an award??

I have been building my Captain Marvel Adventures collection at a steady rate and am presently in 3rd place with 88 of 150 graded and 12,595 points awarded. I have 3 more CMA presently at CGC awaiting grading, once completed I will have 91 of 150 books. But even though I have moved up the ranks quickly, not once have I received any type of "reward", so I was wondering how one receives one of these??? By the way, of the 150 issues in the Captain Marvel Adventures run I actually have 147 of the issues including Special Edition Comics #1. I am only missing #1, #18 and #128 to have the entire run of the Big Red Cheese.

Savage Sword is an affordable run to make, and I like the material far more than the early BWS art in the comic, which I find primitive.

I've been chipping away at Captain Marvel Adventures for the last couple of years.  Whiz is the Captain Marvel title most people chase, but I'm going to feel very proud if I'm able to finish it.

I too am trying to complete the run of the "Big Red Cheese" but I can not find issue #128 anywhere. Any chance you have an extra copy or know where one is? I only need Numbers 1, 18 and 128 to have the entire run. I already have a graded copy of Special Edition Comics #1, so I kinda have the real number 1 since the accepted #1 really was a nn#

  12. Does anyone know why this single issue of Captain Marvel adventures appears to be as hard to find as unobtainium?? Was the print run especially small? Did all moms in the country band together to destroy this one particular issue?? I have been searching for 3 years now and have seen only one copy come up for sale. That particular copy is presently selling for almost 7X guide in a 3.5 condition. Not CGC graded, raw. I was bidding on it but at some point I had to stop and figure there MUST be other copies out there somewhere.

So, I again ask, why is it that this particular issue is so scarce??

    Anyone????? s-l1600.jpg
