Funny story about this book. I believe I offered it on the boards about 2 years ago as a VF 8.0 with no takers. I then auctioned it on eBay as a VF 8.0 and the buyer returned the book thinking it was overgraded. Now it's a CGC 8.5. As a former Silver Age JIM collector, I always found this book difficult to find in higher grades. Gorgeous copy for the discerning JIM collector.
    Asking $850 SOLD!

Batman #167 NM- 9.2 (book has 9.6 appeal but has a tiny spot in M of Bat Man logo - it's so faint you probably won't see it). Book has exceptionally nice interior paper. If this was a Silver Age Marvel from 1964 you'd be paying 4 figures for it.
    Asking $250

Like your excursion into crypto currency, you only find it exciting because there is money to be made.
But to longtime hobbyists, the volatility and flakiness of speculators (what's 'awesome' one day is not awesome the next) is indeed pretty sad.
Where would the hobby be if we didn't have movies? Probably moving along at a slower pace, with less volatility, but steadily forward as it has been for 70 years.

It's a sad world when comic book sales are defined by how television shows and movies do.

VintageComics got a reaction from F For Fake in Hey Cal, where are you ?
I think it's worth adding to Cal's post is that this board member Cal is referring to contacted Louise very early on when Louise joined and she did tell Louise that there was a fund raiser on another chat forum for her before she joined here.
Two data points do not a trend make but it certainly got me thinking.
I did mention it to a few people at the time the fund raiser was going on over her but didn't want to get too deeply involved.
Cal might have a point in this whole thing, for which he took a lot of heat.
