    HULK #201     FN (6.0)

Good color and gloss, clean staples, spine ticks, corner stain on inside of book goes through some pages, minor staining front cover.  First Hulk and Conan crossover? No, not that Conan. :gossip: It's actually Kronak.  Had I bought this book as a kid, I'd feel ripped off.  Thanks, Marvel.

$5 or free with a purchase.  Just claim it first.

    Is this true @pmWolf ?

    Or no?

I put in the value as what I paid for it the month before I sent it in. (Although, I thought it was $350).

I'm always unsure what to put in on a book's value when I send it in because I feel that RAW's aren't worth as much as graded (so me declaring that it was worth just as much as a graded 7.0 seems like a bad idea). Also, I thought that the smudge/stain had a chance to send it back with a purple label, or with a hidden defect that knocks it way under what I expected. So, I figured the best thing to do was just put in my purchase price.

While I would have "won out" on this one if it came back as a 7.0+ blue label, I don't see CGC refunding my money if I value something too high that comes back as a green or purple label. Again, I typically just put in my purchase price, and try not to get too fancy.

it is possible the e-mail said credit.

It DID say "CGC credit" in the email...but it's great that it no longer the case.

Oh boy...I mean, you've proven CCS is an incompetent chop shop, why let them touch any of your books again, much less a 181????  There's a number of third-party pressers out there that do WAY better work and won't mangle your book.

I'd also protest a Hugh Jackman signature on that book, but that's a personal choice.

    I don't disagree with anything you've said here. : )

As far as a Hugh Sig on a H181, I'm on the fence. I have a lot of H181s, and it would be just a little one of a kind thing in the collection for me.

Wait, your OK with this outcome?  They viciously mar your book and hope you won't notice, and you're fine with CGC not only giving you the book's new lesser value, but also in a credit that you can only spend with them?

    Or did I misread something?

I'm definitely not saying that I'm okay with the outcome, or proposed solution.

My options appear to be extremely limited, though...

Unless the book is a 4.5 without all the damage they caused....that’s not even close to a reasonable solution.
You have a 4.5 in your hands right now.  If all you wanted was 4.5 money, you could sell the book

True, but then I wouldn't get that sweet, sweet store credit.

I eagerly await the thrill of sending in another high dollar book.
