  1. First Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury - was pleasantly surprised to pick this up for a song recently - they rarely go under the radar in decent shape.
  2. Sweet find - I never see these at flea markets anymore. I don't think Perelandra is common but you do see a lot of pics because it's so collected & cool
  3. One of the most Bizarre Space Robot covers i've ever seen... "Inner Cosmos" by Vargo Statten...
  4. Sweet copy... Marty, are these paperbacks you bought when they came out? or shortly thereafter? Guys my generation love the fact that paperbacks were the internet of the 20th century = inexpensive, widespread knowledge & entertainment
  5. Here is the best (IMHO) British Sci Fi cover ever - "The G-Bomb" Incredible mushroom cloud graphic - great draftsmanship and composition
  6. Here's some more Dell fun... #433 King Solomon's Mines movie edition with Deborah Kerr & Stewart Granger...
  7. Some wild British-ness. Post-nuclear age alarm-ism. I really love Glama, who was on the back cover of countless British Sci-Fi titles
  8. awesome... nobody cares about anything rare in these here parts but this is rare for sure...
  9. Awesome Pulp! Kind of funny how in 25 years the cover subject went from a cowering dude in a dress and funny helmet to a Buxom Blonde and Mr. America in a banana hammock
  10. Then you start seeing cool Dells and it's like "hmmm, i'll look out for those too..."
  11. I too first got hooked with Avons - Tough Kids from Brooklyn are a weakness of mine
  12. Nice copy, never saw this one before - you've got excellent taste in JD!
  13. Paperbacks are relatively worthless... but I like this one... the true first... i'm post-crossing it from the Peanuts GA forum just because its worthless there too
  14. This here is one of the rarest of the rare - but it's in a bit of a limbo land between the comic books and paperbacks and there is very little info out there about the true first printing. It was reprinted dozens of times with various changes in cover details but you don't see the first correctly identified.
  15. I'm honored to be the custodian of this very fresh copy He was a big influence on my skepticism about everything in adulthood
  16. Definitely has that !!! look - cover is actually by Julian Paul per Warren's paperback guide http://www.askart.com/artist/Julian_Paul/101959/Julian_Paul.aspx It appears that he did quite a few paperback and digest covers.
