  2. There's a story behind this one, but I don't want to talk too much about it. TLDR is that I got this online for $100 and the seller decided to ship it literally in just a thin, cardboard photo mailer. By some miracle the book arrived in stated condition...

It's a book I've wanted since I was a child and learned truly about who Spidey was. Once I started collecting, I kept putting it off for one reason or another. Then the ASM #2 train wreck was announced and it jumped out of my league. Once the movie came out, I couldn't decide whether I hated the movie more or the effect it had on the prices for this book lol

I knew after a certain point the book would cool off, and here I am, sitting with what is possibly my favorite book in my collection. 2015 is off to a good year

Great looking copy you got your hands on! Congrats to you! I, too, one day, hope to have one in my collection.

  3. So, after seeing how an online retailer shipped a book to me once, I decided to copy the packaging.

I work at a warehouse where I can get large sheets of corrugated cardboard that allows me to be able to makes these comic book shippers. Pretty self explanatory on this one. Secure, safe, and no movement during shipping! Oh, I should note this isn't all that gets shipped! I put this into a box that is slightly larger, filled with bobble wrap and/or packing peanuts.

  4. My name is Brett, and I am brand new to the boards here. Relatively new to the comic collecting world, as well. Got a very late start, but it's better than never. I'm 33 now, and was almost 32 when I started collecting.

Finally received my first 2 CGC books in the mail yesterday. Submitted them back in May at a local comic con. Happy with the results of dual 9.8's. Looking forward to sharong thoughts and opinions with you all!
