750 copies X $85 each = $63,750 (assuming none sold at $100 just for simplicity)
Let's be ultra generous and say that there was overhead (Crain's fees, CGC fees, Marvel printing and acetate printing) SWAG of $25,000. That's still a very nice afternoon of "work"
And they already paid for the copies back in 2021 when they originally released it. So those costs were already sunk last year!

To be fair, a lot of the Bleeding cool article basically seems to be a rehash of what's been stated in this thread. It even references this thread as a source. That's not to say Bleeding Cool didn't reach out independently to confirm that Marvel didn't authorize it, but just saying, some of that stuff is from here so it shouldn't be used as a source.

Wouldn't it be prudent to delay some of these signature signings in order to catch up a little? It appears as if the signings will "jump the line" over books that have been there for months. Or maybe pause submissions altogether in order to get caught up and get TAT down to 60 days or less?

Congrats! I had no extras in my set. Was he doing remarques for this set? I never saw an announcement on his social media channels so I figured it was just the con exclusive this time.

My Blues came in yesterday and arrived in perfect condition! Now I'm just waiting on the Golds to ship...

Anyone who got shipping notification for x-men Blue yet?
I got my shipping notification at 4:30 yesterday. Funny thing is, I still haven't received my X-Men Gold yet...

That Heathen x/100 variant had sales yesterday from $200 and up, and one sold for over $500. The cover a is selling pretty good too. I said down and read the first two issues to see what the hubbub was about, and the book is written well. Dropped a lot off of my pull lately, but I added this one. Is this an ongoing?
Heathen has been a great read so far. This is a 4 issue mini that was taken from Natasha Alterici's Kickstarter graphic novel. There's a Vol 2 Kickstarter that's also met it's goals so we should see more after the initial 4 issue mini.

I was concerned that the bags would cause damage. I received my secret set and they all look pretty good. The b/w has a 3/16th color break on the spine on the cover but that's the biggest defect of the three. None of mine has roller marks or anything like that.

Hi everyone. My name is Eldin. I'm a longtime collector (going on 30 years and 60 long boxes now) and infrequent lurker on these boards. I figure it's time to start interacting with my fellow collectors.
I love Silver Age Marvel books, specifically X-Men and Spider-Man. My collecting goal is to acquire the complete run of the original X-Men series and I'm getting pretty close. I never really thought about slabbing any of my books and didn't own one until I purchased an X-Men #8 earlier this year that was already graded. I do read current books and collect a mix of DC, Marvel and Image with a few other publishers thrown in for good measure.
I look forward to contributing to the group!

I bought 4 and ended up with the color, sketch and 2 bw (purchased at 2 different stores). Both bw had the dent problem at the spine of the upper staple. The color and sketch were fine, though.

There are still 10 raw copies listed for sale. I wonder if they'll all be pulled down by the end of the day?
