Here is another Hero Initiative book from their latest auction. It was sketched/inked/colored by Bill Sienkiewicz and sent to CGC. I was very disappointed when I got it back. It was an 8.5, Bill was pretty liberal using tape and there were several tape pulls along the front cover which you could not see on the eBay auction pictures. I decided to have Ash paint the surrounding front and back cover. He also added a silver leaf logo. I would say it was worth it.....8.5 to a 9.8

The simple answer is yes. A signature that is smudged, smeared, etc will result is down grade. A tape pull most certainly will.

Ash took his sweet time with these but well worth the wait..... Left the Punisher Logo because I thought it worked with the Rollerball image

Patience is a virtue. I have been watching this book for close to two years. I have always wanted to pair it with my other two Eternal Soulfire books. The seller wanted an astronomical amount of money for it. We bantered back and forth on several occasions and finally we came to a reasonable agreement. Happy to add this Stiegerwald to the Soulfire collection.....

Much appreciated but this question is too subjective and can see it leading down a rabbit hole of discussion that's neither relevant or constructive. There are a ton of collectors that have some awesome stuff and I appreciate it all.

Picked up this Mayhew just 48hrs before McGregor was announced. Got lucky.

To each his own. I only collect CGC SS books so art board, etc...is not an option for me or my collection. Also, there are many pieces (actors and actresses) that simply don’t have a related cover. I would argue that the blank used takes nothing away from the art on the cover....in my opinion.

Its all about the paper quality and what he has available. I have never been one to care too much about the book the artist uses if the logo can be completely covered.

Let’s give this a try....Ash has been preoccupied with the Joker and the Mandalorian. Could not pass on these.....
