Captain Science run... some cool covers..most of these came from the Bethlehem pedigree collection. At one time I owned about 600 books from that collection ..glad I saved some

Later in years I was able to buy the Larson Marvel 5 pictured here.. I was also able to get the Larson Subby 1 ..which is one of my favorite books in my collection, just love the yellow cover and image and the Larson signature to boot. At that time the Marvel 5 was considered the most scarce of Marvel Mystery comics.

Truth is, holder or no holder, comics will disintegrate over time unless they are stored in vacuum sealed containers as the Smithsonian does for perishable objects of value and significance. (cgc holders are great though, in that they delay the inevitable) Second, museums hold great works of art in storage that never see the light of day, perhaps because they are considered irrelevant by todays standards..
