Interesting -- hey, it seems like eBay reacted to the reports, which is very cool. One strike against him? Wonder if we can get any further strikes? What do people think of the Bruce Timm sketch he's selling now?
As the owner of the REAL original. I'm pretty confident the seller was selling a fake. I purchased my sketch from Scott Dunbier. I'm glad the auction was shut down!

Nice pages! That's the most OA I've ever seen from Invincible! Do you have any pages from the first issue for sale?
-
You shopping Constant?
I'm partial to the work of Cory Walker on Invincible, but that Ottley fella sure draws some pretty pictures too!

Trying stuff out. He may put some on there as auction, some may be BIN.
What a great idea. Let the demand and interest of a specific piece dictate the price.

I know who you are referring to. Some nice stuff there.
Haha! Were you offered it too? Here I am thinking I'm all kinds of special. I still don't have a # yet.
Yeah, me either. I'm curious what the asking prices will be in light of the recent ebay auction (if it has any impact at all).

Congrats, really cool pick-up! Another piece of old OA is saved from the deadly clutches of Mr. Ottley.
At this rate with all the OA you've acquired I think you and Constant could literally open an Invincible Museum
How about an Artist's Edition by IDW? That would be fun!

Hey Rob,
Just a thought, if you haven't done so already, I'd shoot the seller a note asking that they package this extremely well so it has no chance of bending. It seems like the seller doesn't have much experience in shipping art, or comic art for that matter.
waaaaayyyy ahead of you. I'm happy with what they're doing. i actually messaged them before the auction ended to see how they planned on shipping. i also have to believe that the story was fabricated big time. no difference to me, but, the way they described packing and shipping, they've done it before.
The story was a bit too odd. A simple Google search would have yielded information on the piece as the cover to Invincible 13 and the artist that drew it. As matter of fact, I sent the seller a message informing him/her exactly what the piece was, yet they didn't use it and instead posted that message from a relative of Ryan, with not-so-correct info.

So, yeah. As an Invincible OA collector, I saw that cover as a monumental page in Invincible/Ottley history. I felt it belongs in a collection that is worthy of its awesomeness, and that my friends, is why I bought it. In my opinion, an absolute steal at that price. Cheers!
A great addition to a great Invincible collection! We'll done, sir! Although it would have looked nice next to my covers to issue 11 and 12.

Well it looks like the Skybound Office is in on that auction, so who ever wins will have to go real big.
Interesting...did Skybound post something about it?

Geez, 2k? That's more than I thought the cover would go for, but that's probably because I'm one of the low bidders!

What a great thread! Thanks for sharing, everyone. Here is a piece I picked up from Albert Moy right around the time New Frontiers ended.
