It looks kinda water damaged it's just a nightmare to get a picture of. I'll try again in natural light tomorrow. Thanks!

Hi guys, I've had this for a while and didn't actually notice the problems until I went to sell it. I honestly didn't notice any of this as it's not super obvious straight on and I kept it in a mylar and just tucked it in a box. If you look at the pictures with the most glare you can see some waviness on the cover. Is this from the inner well? Moisture damage? I don't think it was damaged in the box since none of my other books it was stored with show any similar signs. Should I get this re-cased? Am I hosed? Returning is out of the question as I've had this for a long while, and I honestly don't expect the dealer even realized.

NOBODY has said that flipping books is wrong ? If so, it was merely tongue in cheek. Not sure who you are debating with. The point trying to be made here is that flipping books and then coming here to brag about it is in poor taste. Too much E-Peen going on in this thread. Cool word that I just learned. @October
Well then, I don't know who I'm trying to debate with either lol. Read through most of it in a hurry and think I picked up the wrong vibe.
Carry on

I think a large amount of people here "flip" some books to fund collecting, and I see nothing at all wrong with that. And I imagine there are also a lot of people that just happen upon deals too. In the last few years I've found two New Mutants 98's for under $5. I didn't steal them, mislead someone trying to sell something they were unfamiliar with, or even haggle on the price. Should I have passed those up when I knew it meant finishing my New Mutants run and selling the other to purchase other books I needed?
And I'm willing to bet no one here has forced anyone to buy a book for a price they weren't willing to pay.

What a good ending to this, beauty of a book.

I wanna come over...New one for me - tenant eviction auction.First one to raise their hand for $200 USD (approx.) won this lot.
So what's in the boxes?
Besides the inflatable Wolverine - I have no idea.
I'd imagine tons and tons of drek....
So being the first to raise hand I now own 11 boxes of quote "comics and stuff"
I'll update with anything interesting or good.
Genuinely haven't looked so 3000 1995 - 1998 comics here I come.....
Show now.
You have piqued my anxiety

I'm currently a little more than halfway through this myself. The toughest part isn't finding the books (I have singles of 94-600, and marvel unlimited + masterworks got me through 1-94) it's keeping the drive to continue once you get into the 300s.

I think I'd just ask for the refund and be done with it. Not sure I could appreciate the artwork after this hassle.

MST - Invoice 7/26, shipped today 10/17

Odd that NM #98 is dropping a bit while BA #12 is picking up. I've always thought of these two books as moving together.
I agree.
I wonder if it's because X-Men Origins Wolverine was the first time Deapool was on screen, then he got his more faithful movie, where Harley has just now had her X-Men Origins moment with a solo on the way (I assume on the way anyway).

Omega Men #3 is quietly making its way up the charts.
The Main Man is finally getting his due...?
I am so glad I sold like 7 of my 10 copies before the price really started to pop.
Just sold the whole brother voodo strange tales run. on monday they will no doubt announce three brother voodoo movies are being made.
. I sold 2 9.8s earlier this year so I feel your pain.

Cartoon, I can see that. Live Action - it will not last a season.
Agents of Shield has lasted more than a season and I wouldn't have bet on that.

Excellent transaction, book arrived fast, well packed, and in good grade. Couldn't be happier!

Some of the best stuff I've seen posted. Amazing work!

Her first appearance is #1 though not 4.
I really hope that #1 spikes as well. I speculated on it and I have decent stack sitting in a longbox that is almost impossible to move due to the fugly cover. The logic seemed sound at the time - it is a the first new ASM #1 in how long - it has to sell well.......
Oh no, the 1991 X-Men 1 hypothesis...
-
Yeah, mine were the old/new style (no inner well). Must have been part of the last batch. Cust service is already on it.
-
Anyone else get in books recently that exhibited terrible newton ring effects? It looks like the shipment I got in today was in the last batch of the "problem" holders. Really frustrating. Good news is I see no signs of waviness.

Couple of thoughts on this
1. Maybe he worked out an agreement before finding this? I've had some luck offering to buy x amount if they work out a deal. A lot of sellers want the space back more than they want full price and a large volume sale is appealing.
2. If this were bought to resell and you track ROI by percentage, cutting the purchase price in half sure makes that ending percentage look awesome.

WOW! I'm jealous, that looks like fun

Oh man, nice! What other books are in those stacks?

Thanks Sirwesker. I think a re-casing is in order. I have a couple others that need to eventually go anyway.
