  1. Yeah, it was my coupon from last year's membership before the change that I got to them as it expired. Invoice info indicated it got processed as the "Collector's Society" tier, but was curious about the TAT now that they changed to the credit perk instead.

Previously it was 15 business days.

    That's what I thought it was too...thanks!

  3. Old coupon submission (got there just in time!)

    Received 4/25

    Verified 4/26

Think I might need to call - still sitting in Verified today. Isn't the coupon supposed to handle the same as fast track as far as turnaround times? I see a number of fast tracks received after mine are scheduled already.

  4. Almost none of those endings are cliffhangers. When the writers finish their main story, their main theme for the season, it's not a cliffhanger. Giving hints to where the new season will start, a portend of what's to come, AFTER completing the story line in entirely acceptable. Falling short of completing the story as a ratings grab? Not so much.

Given that there are always story lines to be completed and they want cohesiveness they will carry things over, but this was absolutely insulting.

That seems a lot like what Kirkman and Gimple said last night. Main story/theme ended, next season is a new story. So I guess last night wasn't a cliffhanger by your definition, if the writers and producers say the story ended?

And how you can say the prison being completely overrun with Carl dragging injured Rick away while he says "don't look back" isn't a cliffhanger is beyond me. Or Morgan showing up at Alexandria saying "Rick?" as the episode ends. Or them starting their walk through the herd while elsewhere Daryl & co. are confronted by Negan's gang. Midseason or season end doesn't matter, by very definition those are cliffhangers...dramatic scenarios left without resolution for the next installment.

    cliffhanger

    noun

    1.

a melodramatic adventure serial in which each installment ends in suspense in order to interest the reader or viewer in the next installment.

Again, I hate they ended it that way, but you can't redefine "cliffhanger" to fit your argument.

  5. An ending like this is a gimmick employed by weaker quality shows. It's a gimmick they've never needed before and, if they quality of the storytelling was tighter, they would not need it now.

Season 1 - learn everyone will turn undead, driving off into destination unknown after the CDC explodes

Season 2 mid-season - barn incident, kill zombie Sophia

Season 2 - farm overrun, Shane killed, hooded Michonne intro, prison in the distance, "ricktatorship" speech

    Season 3 mid-season - failed Woodbury extraction, Governor's Meryl/Daryl pitfight announcement

Season 3 - Woodbury massacre, Andrea's dead, residents join prison group, what happened to the Governor?

Season 4 mid-season - Hershel killed, Governor killed, prison overrun, Rick & Carl leaving "don't look back"

Season 4 - trapped in Terminus train car, "screwing" with wrong people line

Season 5 mid-season - Beth dies, Morgan randomly shows up 2 seasons later trailing Rick's groups recent steps

Season 5 - Douglas gets killed, Rick shoots Pete, Morgan shows up at Alexandria "Rick?"

Season 6 mid-season - Daryl, Abraham, Sasha confronted by Negan's crew on road, Rick & co. begin walking through herd and Sam calling "mom"

    Season 6 - Who got Lucille's wrath?

Nope, never used that cliffhanger thing before in this series.

edit: and no, I'm not a fan of the cliffhanger ending here. I agree it's lame.

  6. I think they are following the original format of when they released the action figures. (shrug)

So Yoda or the Emperor would not appear for a while if this is correct.

Correct. With the exception of Lando (for his own book) and Boba (artist variants - though the Kenner giveaway first appears on the 20cardbacks and he pops up on the 21cardback too) they have followed the 70s Kenner figure releases. The original 12cardbacks are all done, and from the 20cardbacks list, the next two should be Power Droid ("gonk" droid) and Walrus Man (Ponda Baba) though I'm not sure what order. Lando first comes up in the 31/32 ESB cardbacks, but the exception for his own book makes sense.

Curious if they'll continue all the way through the 92cardback POTF ones lol

  7. Welp, I hope he doesn't cancel my pre-pre order. I guess signing up for the newsletter subscription doesn't count as an account being created?..Because I can't login to see my order now. WTF.

For the color one I apparently never created an account either but I received the newsletter emails. I also thought since I got the newsletter I had an account but when I hopped on prior to the sale and clicked account it said my email wasn't on file. So when I bought the pre-pre sale one I created the account on checkout where I saw the option so for the later midnight I didn't have to retype all my address info and could see the orders, and made sure I used that email that got sent the newsletter. I think based on his newsletter as long as you used that email for your pre-pre order and didn't grab multiples you should be fine.

Seems like you can only create an account on his site during purchase, as I couldn't find anywhere on the site a link/section to do it? Seems a bit odd.

  8. Sucks the site went down. I didn't have any problems when I added 3 more at midnight to my pre-pre sale order because my LCS asked if I could grab an extra or two for him when I mentioned it to him. Available count was like 1785 or something when I ordered. I checked this morning and both orders are showing on his site as processing.

I never understood the C2E2 flack. I met him there and he was nice as could be and didn't charge for sigs that I was aware (he offered and signed some stuff for me for free and never hinted at a charge or purchase needed). I think people were mad he bumped the price to sell his personal stock since it sold out online so fast. At least in my opinion I don't feel it's much different than any other pre-order that starts at $10 and ends up at $40 or whatever by release due to the market influence.

  9. 1st sub:

    Standard Modern (5 books)

    Dropped off at C2E2 4/25

    Received 5/4

Based on what others have posted for timeframes between Verified and Grading/Shipping, I'm guessing this will unfortunately go well past the current 55 business-day turnaround.

  10. I need to find out what these guys are doing?

My name is Eddie! one of the owners of Comicxposure.

We are grateful for all the support we have gotten from everyone on the cgc board. up to June 10th we where operating as normal getting orders out. However since the 10th we hired more staff and trained to help get us up to date as of tomorrow we will be up to current orders and all pre orders placed before June 10th will be filled and done. We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding.

When attempting to contact us use the contact page on the site or the phone number.

Again thanks for your continued support and not to worry we aren't going anywhere.

6/10? Pretty sure that's when news broke on various sites they were pre-selling these:

  11. I hit up 3 more on my way home yesterday. Scored 3 ANMNPO, 3 more X-Men 10 1:100 B&W (all the ANMNPO I found had one, including one that the ANMNPO was hidden behind another book), some 1:50 variants and a bunch of 1:10-1:25 ones. No ASM 4s though. A lot of random reading material from when I wasn't collecting and some cool covers. Was fun searching and didn't take very long or much driving..

Every Five Below I went to had them in the same spot - back by the toys on an end-cap rack hanging from hooks. A couple also had 5-packs where only one book shows also for $4, but the two I found were all random late 2000s 2nd prints. Only the 4-packs seemed to have the variants and Point Ones..

  12. Hit up a local Five Below on lunch today and grabbed a couple that had variant covers showing. No ANMNPO or ASM 4, best was a 4-pack that had a X-Men 10 1:100 Cassaday B&W variant. Also discovered they are not always the same 4 comics in a bundle, as two different packages had 3 matching books but the 4th was unique.
