Not sure what you mean with Damien and Nightwing.

In the newest issue of Nightwing, Grayson's tripping out and see's all the versions of Damian; Damian's first appearance in the shadows, Batman #666, Morrisons B&R Damian and Nightwing Damian from Injustice. Seems strange that an alternate reality of Damian as Batman get's it to a $20 book and Damian as Nightwing get's like a $5 and that's only cause the print is low.

Big part of it is if Damian's future is bad, he'll be taken to darkness and become Batman, if it's good he may take up Nightwing mantle.

Also the Injustice books are like 20k print runs at most, which weren't being bought by speculators.

  2. Anyone else hoping Batman/Superman 32 hits next week with Kenan Kong as Superman coming out next week

no matter what DC says..i'm not buying that it's Kong in BS 32....logic doesn't add up. The preview of New Superman has him as a teen bully with no powers yet it was stated that the Superman that flew off in BS 32 had never left the lab. I think something happens and he gets that Superman's powers. Similar to how Lois gets Superman 52s powers.

Origin Story, and he gets taken, tested on, escapes, returns to save someone.

BS 32, Both Prints, about to pop again. I haven't looked at the Comichron numbers for BS 32 yet, but I have enough of both 1st and 2nd Prints, but no Newstands of 1st or 2nd.

just got a tweet from gene luan yang from New Superman comic, Kenan is not the guy who's flying off in BS 32...he shows up later.

DC lied to sell books, and now CGC needs to reprint the label that goes with B/S #32. lol

The label just says 1st Kenan Kong. Which it is. Nothing about being Superman. On the Facebook post everyone assumed he was Superman. All they said was "Did you catch the sneaky introduction of DCRebirth hero Kenan Kong..."

Again nothing about being Superman. It's places like these boards where people put the new character as being the new Superman.

No it isn't as the CREATOR of Kenan Kong says "@krighton character in BM/SM is not Kenan. That's a different guy who will show up in a future issue of New Super-Man" he doesn't say it's not SUPERMAN, he says it's not KENAN. I have a feeling no one tweet more than that is going to make so many collectors question their life choices.

  3. It seems, based on the fact that NM copies have disappeared from several of the larger online retailers, that someone else has started to stockpile a book that I think could have long-term potential.

Countdown to Final Crisis #14, first appearance of Red Robin in DC continuity (first appearance outside of mainstream continuity was in Kingdom Come)

Wasn't that Jason Todd as Red Robin though?

  4. :news: Nobody cares about Superboy :o

It's a point worth considering. The Superman stable of characters has not been market significant for a long time.

We'll see how this goes after a year of 'the next hot idea' chasing.

I tend to agree he has been relevant for a long time. Not trying to poo poo on fans in here, but I can think of several more relevant DC books to spec on.

I was definitely against any Superboy before this iteration Conner Kent was painfully uninteresting to myself personally but reading the new stuff I get what i don't like.. clones. It's weird cause we're talking about comic books but clones just bug me Heratic included. Seeing this Jon being raised like the kitty eye laser scene got me and the subtle keeping it to himself, I just got as thats the kid I was. has been super interesting to me (see what I did there?).

  5. I'm surprised Valeria Richards 1st & cameos continue to be $1 books

Could be because there are too many books to consider. There are at least 4 different comics that could claim to be the 1st appearance of Valeria.

That's fair but I would count out the Valeria Von Doom as a sort of What If and baby scenes as cameos with Fantastic Four (Vol 3) #54 as the first walking, talking Valeria that we know. Though others may disagree.

  6. For volume 1, this is the core "must-read" list in my opinion. There are some excellent issues outside of these, but these are the core issues that contain the main history of the TMNT. Issues 1-21 should remind you of the events from the original 1990 live-action movie with a space adventure mixed in.

The Mikey and Don one-shots don't have much to do with the over-arching story, but they're good stories nonetheless. Here's the reading order:

    1-3

    Raphael one-shot

    4

    Fugitoid one-shot

    5-7

    Michelangelo one-shot

    Donatello one-shot

    8-9

    Leonardo one-shot

    10-12

    19-21 (Return to New York)

    50-62 (City at War)

Thanks! Last question TMNT Adventures seeing that as the 1st Bebop, Rocksteady & Krang is this true? When I look at CGC labels don't see it.

  7. Wow, East of West #1 Ghost Variant CGC 9.8 for $40 + shipping. Is it on break right now though?

    http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=east%20of%20west%201&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc&_trksid=p2045573.m1684

I think East of West was a series that suffered from everyone being on board.

From what I can find about the amount of slabbed 9.8 just by CGC on East of West #1:

    Regular Cover: 910

    Forbidden Planet Edition: 127

    Ghost Variant Cover: 195

    Regular variant: 46

And that's just 9.8's not counting raw, other printings etc.

Market is more than flooded I believe.
