Back to Modern comics, anyone think its worth Slabbing some Cyborg #1's I love the character myself and picked up quiet a few copies. Prob little value now but since it is his first solo book what are your thoughts??

Has a vendor table setup one guy has comics nothijg to great but everything half off i grabbed some decent uncanny xmen books new mutants 88 (not 87) all for 2$ each. Conventions bring stupid prices. Everyone overprices because they got their fish cornered and supply sometimes is limited.

 

 

i feel like sometime ppl will over pay when they can get the item in hand right then, instead of the risk of eBay and online resale markets.. just what I have noticed.

why does race have to play into everything? I am Spanish and i love spider-man and im a hugh fan of miles morales but when you go to see a movie white, black, yellow, or purple it doesnt matter we are going to see spider-man and last time i check he wears a mask and we are really paying to see that Costume anyway....

I just opened 4 copies that where in the poly bag still and everyone has front and back cover dings. really shocked and kinda dont wanna open anymore of my stash, I was about to prep them for to send out for SS now dunno if i want to.

I have been telling that on the boards of books in general sealed in those polybags yet most disagree. That plastic they used provides little protection and if old turns yellow and brittle.

they all seem to have very similar marks in the same areas, prob from the store because i know i didnt do it, you cant see it with the poly bag on and i bagged and boarded them all as soon as i got them..... good thing I picked them up at cover price.

Those 9.8s are sure disappearing fast now on ebay.

 

 

9.8 was $150 last night, now it's $250.

 

Give it a few months and watch them skyrocket when folks catch on how rare 9.8s are due to polybag process. I had 30 sealed copies and the best I got was a 9.4. There's a reason why the census on this book has so many 9.6, 9.4 in relation to 9.8.

Since you're in NYC, I figured I'd mention that I went to the one in Sunnyside today and didn't see any. I checked the book island twice and walked around the rest of the store. Saw nothing.

I would buy the colored edition cant seem to find it anywhere tho....

When the next "everyone's gotta have it" female / minority / LGBT retconned character launches, I'll gladly make money from that garbage, no problem with it at all

 

X-Men: Years of Future Past has a new 1st appearance that seems to be flying under the radar. Maybe.

Christina or Chrissie Pride seems she could be a character to heat up if they keep her around post Secret Wars

Maybe if anyone at the big 2 had an ounce of talent who could actually create a band new character of quality from scratch......

Agree I think Bluebird could be a great character if they put the right push behind her.... pretty sure shes gonna be a big focus on eternal part two and if im not mistaken should be in the new Robins series.

Does CGC use different slaps or should they all look the same, now im not talking about the label i mean the slab it self..

 

just got in two books from eBay today and one is SO much thicker then the other and the thicker slab looks like it has an inner holder to keep the book in place.

 

Both cert #s are good and the sellers feedback is spotless just thought its something my newbie self should ask.

 

Thicker books have thicker slabs. Also magazine sized books have thicker/wider slabs.

they are both modern books tho one is Batman inc #8 (0242811003) the other Superior spider-man 31 (0233832017)

and I own raw copys of each and they dont seem any thicker.

im so upset that i didnt know all this before I sent my first batch of books in a few weeks back, I sent 3 books in with signatures that I have COA and witnessed being signed in so i guess they will be green labels, not to upset cause I dont plan to sell them but would have been much nicer to have yellow SS labels. And thanks for your help!

when looking thru the census... what does qualified mean? are those the green label signature books?

question I did some searching around before deciding to ask this but is there some sort of price guide to see what prices are on Signature series books. There are a few I see floating around on eBay and other areas just wanted to see if there is any kind of guide showing going rates before I jump on anything.... thank you for any answers.
