Fascinating reading. And if the story is true congratulations! You could sell them all and buy a house!

Bought 5-6 long boxes from someone. Mostly lower grade Bronze stuff. He wanted $75, but I gave him $100. I'm such a good person.
This was the highlight. Its lower grade, but still a good find. Also had Next Men 21, Swamp Thing 37, DC Presents 49, Avengers Annual 10, Moebius 2, TDKR 1-4, final issues of Epic Illustrated and alot of random Silver and Bronze stuff.
Despite how good the collection was; this is still a heartbreaker. So close. You could argue someone picked 12, but this collection clearly wasn't picked.
$100 for 6 long boxes......... I've just paid £300 for 79 comics! If I had been born in the states I'd be a millionaire today!

Nice thread, that Neal Adams Superman by polar lights is awesome! Definitely going to have a crack at that myself.
I've got an F-14D Tomcat and a Mk.I Spitfire to finish though, think I'll put the order in when I'm closer to finishing those

Thank you! The black lines were the hard part for sure... I did think about buying a super fine line pen but that'd just be cheating!! Paint and a steady hand all the way.
Here's another. Not sure it counts as a statue but it's pretty cool in my book. TIE Fighter, 1/72 from Fine Molds
And another... Harley Quinn, 35mm from Knight Models

In 6 months collecting I have approximately 1000 books, I'm slowly working through them all assigning rough grades and cataloging them on comic book realm.
My only regret is not starting this collection years ago! When comics were cheap!

The Decisive Duel: Spitfire Vs 109 by David Isby
Fascinating reading. The Mk.I Spit was outclassed in almost every way by the dastardly hun. Were it not for being tighter in the turn the Battle of Britain would probably have been a different story... And we'd all be speaking German!
