  1. the whole thread was not to involve you at all!!!!!!!

the point was to show how not to ship a comic book!!!!!!!!

I was trying to prove a simple point envelopes is the wrong way to go.

no matter how ridged anyone thinks an envelope is it will not last with the USPS and there shipping bad habits.

you can clearly see in the pictures that the integrity of the envelope was no match in the ring with the USPS

USPS K.O.ed it with no problem

but people attacking me or you was not the point, those people clearly missed the ball

it was too simply show that no envelope is safe from serious damage.

I apologize for the personal attack and that was not my intention it was only to bring light on shipping and shipping habits.

  2. I sent the PM as soon as the book arrived.

    again not the point

the seller packed it then shipped it

already knowing it had a 80/20 shot of arriving safely (80% not)

even if the seller tries to make amends later or after the fact that's not the point

I am simply trying to show how not to ship a comic book!!!! that's the whole point.

Polaris left knowing she had almost no chance of arriving safely even as strong as she is.

this is meant to only show how bad it is too ship or pack a comic book incorrectly.

please only read in too what the point is nothing more.

yes the book is damaged but it is press worthy and it will be so as far as the book is concerned a little TLC and it will be ok

shipping standards and how its done is the point and point alone, thanks

  3. I got a ASM #121 9.6 cgc in the mail that was cracked in 4 places

I paid $25 for shipping came in an envelope with cardboard around it and bubble wrap but all 4 corners were cracked

I resubmitted it myself for reslab and picked it up

    that is a horror story

what was the kicker in the picture of the book it was sitting on a priority box

  4. I appreciate the response your point was very valid and I take things personally sometimes but that is on me.

I love the hobby and its value to all and I in no way wanted to put down anyone I only wanted to bring light to show what not to do.

    simple and plain

    John

most who know me will tell you that the hobby means everything to me and I hate when any book is damaged no matter how small or large it could and should be avoided.(human or mutant mistake)

not only that but Polaris is real upset her face and arm got badly damaged...lol

trying to deal with the work that is now in front of me.

  5. of course I did & nothing

making right on mistakes is great if your new too things but not a long time member but again some are still missing the point.

my only point here is too show why you don't send books in an envelope

please go back and look at the pictures and see what the point is before you post a snappy come back and turn this into a joke instead of the point!!!!!

I never posted anything bad about the seller and never mentioned the seller if you or anyone else found him/her great

I simply wanted to show why this was a bad idea and should have never been done by a veteran of the forum and/or the hobby

  6. I think that some people are missing the point

packaging the book is a concern

    price is a concern

but the responsibility is the seller's

I don't care if shipping cost you $18.00 (with packing material, boxes etc)

    then simply charge for it

charge actual shipping cost how hard is that!!!!!!!!

too me a trusted seller is one who takes as much pride in a book and show's that pride to insure the book he cared for gets to its new home in the same condition in which he cared for it.

Its called PRIDE and INTEGRITY things people should have without being taught.

the HOBBY should always come first.

most books sold on the forum are 10% - 40% off GPA or Last sale for raw books

with that paying a little extra to insure your book will arrive safely is not out of the realm of possibilities.

Be a great seller on the board use cardboard!!!!!!!!

  7. What is with all the sellers putting and shipping comic books in envelopes

not everyone but a lot of sellers

This is absolute and you should hit yourself in your self adhesive mouth!!!!

I have received the last 4 comic books I have purchased in envelopes

Most seller's charge $10.00/$15.00 to ship and that is a lot and they can ship it in a box and send it from CA. to FL. for less or right at $15.00 and protect it and respect it the way it should be.

The pictures are from my last straw with cheap, needing to go to school and learn the proper way to ship a comic sellers

1st & 2nd photos are the envelope itself

3rd photo is what the comic was protected with 2 comic boards and bubble wrap

4th photo is the comic itself

We as the responsible sellers should set the example

I am new to the forum but I never have had shipping standards this way

this should not be tolerated anymore!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for looking and reading, DJ DIABLO

closing look at my Kudo's find a buyer of one of my book ask them how I ship then you will get the right start.
