I didn't realize that this was planned as a limited series - that's good info to have. Thanks.
Its PLANNED as on-going... but sales do make a difference.
Could definitely see a Seaon 2, a la Roche Limit: Clandestiny

I watch the show on a weekly basis but I really try my best to turn off the "comic fan" part of my brain at times.

The special RRP variant from Baltimore's Diamond Retailer Summit should be a nice gem!
Anyone seen one of these in the wild?

They caught onto the shill and most likely banned him, deleted his posts and any posts responding to him.
Although my restraining order should have stayed.
In correct, for whatever reason I'm still here.
If any of the powers that be would like to talk, I'd be more than happy to via PM or email.
I don't care if it's In Correct or Out Correct.
You maintain that perimeter mister.
Yes sir. Check my signature.

To me this just means more books about to hit auction, driving up the GPA avg even higher.

Wait you mean to say you own that Rafa A. cover OA??!?!?

I do have to ask others, the Luther Strode variant looks 3-D to me. When I look at that cover, it really does look like someone took a picture of an action figure. Do you get that same 3-D feeling from the Star Wars covers? I don't but maybe it's my eyes. The Star Wars covers are cool, but they don't look like someone took a picture of an action figure.
I wonder if Marvel could hire the artist for that Luther Strode cover to do the rest of the Star Wars covers.
That Luthor Strode cover is definitely on a level above the rest.
Setting the bar very high!
Its Michael Adams, he also did the Spread Action Figure covers (which way pre-date the SW and Marvel ones)
[/i]The attention to detail on the price stickers being faded is a really fantastic touch.[/i]

Somebody must have found a box of high grade copies of these in that infamous, mysterious and dreaded "warehouse of undiscovered comic books". The census numbers jumped markedly last week:
9.8- +12 (359)
9.6- +14 (476)
9.4- +6 (266)
9.2- +2 (157)
9.0- +3 (125)

I think we'll see this happen a bit more over time, given that Batman Adventures was never considered to be a book that collectors would want, I'm sure there's tons of retailers who have them in storage in All Ages boxes, or runs from former kid/collectors.

Oof going to go broke trying to get me one of those.

Most Brian K Vaughn: Y: The Last Man, early Wakling Dead, Loeb/Sale color series, the Wake really got me for some reason.

Midtown Comics has a huge stack of each cover for Toyko Ghost as of late last night, doesn't look like a single copy was touched but that's probably because they restocked.
Remender seems to have a somewhat anti-speculation stance with this book, from the blog post about the decision to do just 2 standard price Murphy covers, to other comments about wanting to make sure everyone gets to read it that wants to.
-
Double Take books were selling quite poorly around my way...
Tokyo Ghost was flying off the shelf, mainly thanks to everyone in the staff reading copies and all of us freaking out loudly at Murphy's panels.
-
Its really good folks, some of Murphy's best work, and he's by far one of my favorite current artists. Like a lot of Remender, this will be a bit of a slow burn, but already tons to hook you. I don't want to spoil a damn thing, go out and buy this book, its well worth the money.
Saving up my duckets to hopefully score my first Original Art ever, which will be from this series.
-
I will read anything with Remender, Murphy or Hollingsworth attached.
Give me all 3, and you've got the happiest camper out there.
Its at the bottom of my stack, saving it for right after Cap White.

I love Star Wars, and collect the toys but I'm really really getting tired of these variants.
Marvel ones too, unless they are someone special, I.E. Peggy Carter, which will make a great SS with Hayley Atwell.
The Luther Strode one is amazing though...

I don't like Gwenpool at all, but I'm sure as hell not dumb enough to let my dislike for her and what she stands for get in the way of making some $$$.
Is that why your name is Smoak and Frost?
Haha not that clever.
Felicity Smoak + Killer Frost

I watch the show every week, its not close to my top favorite shows but I watch it none the less. I was a huge OC stan, but Ben McKenzie is just horrible as Jim Gordon.
I would very much like to see a Seth Cohen fanboy cameo though.

A 1st appearance on a cover of a hybrid character, comprised of a fairly new quasi-hybrid character... and Deadpool, right? ... How can that possibly stick? I would sell sell sell.. but I passed it by on the rack so maybe don't listen to me
How can a Deadstroke rip off, that breaks the 4th wall, makes fart and jokes, and has the ugliest mug in comics possibly have any sort of staying power?
History is full of the unlikely being speculative gold.

as soon as I heard the news about this show I bought every NM/NM+ Alias 1 I could find. I already had 2 slabbed, 9.8s. I have about 15 yet to be slabbed, possibly will get them signed by Ritter or Bendis.
I'd like to point out that Alias got me back into comics and is in my top 5 all time. I'm not just some crazy loon. Well I'm a bit crazy but yeah, I love me some Bendis and Jess Jones.

I figure this thing will piggy back the other Fantastic Four movies and possibly be added into a potential FOX X-Men/FF Blu Ray box set also. This licensed property will be added to every superhero endcap or display for years to come. Don't need much promotion for that, even Waterworld eventually made a profit, eventually. Just takes a bit.How much could Fox realistically expect to earn in DVD/Blu-Ray sales and first-run TV rights? Could this thing actually break even?No chance, thanks to marketing. Marketing is never reflected in the budget numbers, and for a big film like this you can expect it matches or exceeeds the budget.
...and I'm only talking about the dvd/Blu Ray format.
True... but remember optical drive media is dying compared to iTunes/Netflix/etc

Hey Guys,
J here (never Jay, long story.)
Been in this game since I was about 8 when my dad started letting me buy 1 new stand per grocery trip. Then finally he started getting me Layton Iron Man's (he was always an Iron Man guy) before finally letting me get my first wall book, a MacFarlane ASM.
I ended up getting all the fireside books that collected origins, as well as the enyclopedias about the bad guys with their power levels. I was hooked. I made some horrible comics at a local copy store.
Fast foward to college, I had my collection (no keys really) in my garage, I was handed Watchmen and Arkham Asylyum, the next day I spent $150 of grocery money at the LCS.
Now I'm a 30 book a week buyer, (still waiting to bite the bullet and become a key collector), and luckily enough in this economy I've landed a job with a comic company as Manager of Marketing. Not sure if I can say which one
Love the forum, even the sometimes spooish behaviour and hate. you guys know your stuff and are a fun bunch.

Listen I know I'm a straight up spoon in the eyes of you guys and rightfully so. I've been caught red handed "shilling" which is without a doubt taking hard earned money from people's hands.
Do I deserve any sort of belief that I can change, and won't shill again, no probably not.
Is it something I am committed to yes (i know this holds absolutely no weight in your eyes.)
The truth of the matter is, Ebay and Paypal have both made it impossible for me to sell on the bay anymore. I can show you emails, or paperwork, or I can even record a phone call with their customer service. I've been given Bellow Standard status, and there's no way for me to re-enter into selling, unless I go as far as to change identity, get a new bank account, and rebuild from there. (Which I'm sure some of you think is something I'd do, but trust me its not.)
I have a steady job now, I am seeking help for my problems with lying, addiction, amongst other things. A number of you have my personal information, and I don't mind sharing it with the higher ups, so you can come after me if I ever do break the rules again.
I'm not gonna sit here making BS promises, asking for forgiveness, the truth is if I stay off the sales forums, I can't sell on ebay, I will only be on this forum to add to discussions.
