Rermember all the 99 cent auctions with $1 extra per item shipping? (Neatstuff!) Buy 15 crappy books, get an invoice for $18 or $19 shipping + $14.85 for the books.
I remember, those were great. Everything started at .01 cent with $1.50 Shipping and handling per book.. For $1.51 per book I filled in tons of gaps!

I've had pieces turn sour, but never because of the artist. For me it was because of the process of the deal (and more specifically the seller)....

Maybe mike didn't know what that guy was doing. I'm pretty sure carbo is doing well with his sales that he wouldn't need to steal. He could easily sell a 20k book. Patz was probably just doing this to try to impress carbo. I hope carbo comments soon and sets things straight if that is the case. Silence implies guilt though if he never comments.
Would the police would have gone out of their way to say in the report that Carbonaro "knew these thefts were occurring and product was being brought back to his booth" if there wasn't something serious to back it up? Especially since given the value this report would likely be used in any attempts at legal recourse.

This guy is a menace.. He's scammed so many collectors AND dealers. Surprised he keeps getting away with it.
Last I heard he was working with Mike Carbonaro on ebay under username: carbomcu
