This is a low grade, complete copy of Tales of Suspense #39. I would say the grade would be a Good/Very Good but please refer to the images provided and come to your own conclusion before purchasing the book. The book has a small piece out of the cover of the spine, some light water staining, pulled but attached staples and some general wear as shown in the images provided. 

I am selling this book out of my personal collection as I am looking to purchase my first home.

It has a tear on the front cover, top staple pulled at front cover (still attached), bottom staple detached at cover, water damage, scuffing at the top of the front cover, some spine splitting of the cover, along with a significant amount of general wear as shown in the images provided.

I did not want to assign a specific grade as there is always differences of opinion but I would say the 1.0-1.5 range is accurate. I would say the GOOD range is too high and it is considerably better than a POOR.

I am interested in seeing what the 0.5 Batman 1 goes for as well as the mid grade copy. So far not too much movement on them but I think that will quickly change.

I know this is a long stretch but does anyone have or know someone that has and is willing to sell/trade the front covers to either a Detective Comics #27 or Captain America Comics #1. I do not care if they have been trimmed, restored or have large pieces missing. I am even interested in partial front covers. I have money and I have trade including a Batman #1 and a run of Amazing Spider-man from issues 1-15 (all graded and unrestored).

I was asking around about it a few years ago because I was looking to a cover to that and a TEC 27 (wanting whatever I could get my hands on at the time). I had no luck in finding who bought it though. I wonder what its value would be now!

Was this the one that came up 5 years ago for auction or was it a more recent sale?

Hi all, as I have just completed my Batman #1 (minus the BC), I am looking toward my next endeavor which would be slowly completing one of either an Action Comics #1, TEC #27 or a Cap #1. As I am not rich I generally buy the cover and then a coverless copy as it makes buying these big books somewhat affordable. Thus, I thought it would be best to do some preliminary research first, before diving into the deep end once again. My first question would be are there many cover wraps of front covers, or even partial front covers floating around anymore? I remember seeing an Action Comics #1 partial front cover up for auction back in 2012 from memory and it sold for over 6k back then. I wonder if there are many of them now out there and if so, what they would sell for. Comic books have come a long way since then. My next question would be, how much would these kind of covers go for nowadays? I paid 3k for my Bat #1 FC at CC in December of 2014 which felt like a lot then but seems very cheap by today's prices. I know I have asked similar questions in the past but it is a fast moving market and the prices from a year or so ago no longer hold valid as the comic market now moves so fast, those prices quickly become outdated. I am sure other people are wondering about these kind of things so feel free to chime in and ask about covers to other big books as I think it would be interesting to see peoples thoughts or stories. Also, if anyone has any of those covers, feel free to let me know
