Great, great stuff as usual. I wanted to note that there's a typo in the Savannah report: the picture of Tony Givens has an FF #46, not #45.
Thanks, I'll fix the typo.

great stuff....I think they were reprinted in a hardcover format...did you ever check those out...and what issues were reprinted if you know, I also bought that title off the newstand once in a whie
I did buy Volume 1 only of the hardcover reprints by Darkhorse publishers several years ago. It reprinted the first 6 issues which means the Dell Four Color issues and first few issues of Turok in his own title. That book is still in the shrink-wrap until when and if I decide to return to Lost Valley.

I thought collectors of "Turok Son of Stone" might enjoy this brief article from my website about me collecting Turok comics in the 1960s and early 1970s. If anybody does read the article at the link below I would appreciate it very much if you could leave a brief comment in the comment section at the bottom of the page.

Thanks for the wonderful con reports. You've done a lot of these and they are always worth checking out. And I feel like I personally know a lot of your friends through your con reports, would love to meet them all for a cup of joe.
The Leader is grateful but thinks that Canada is to far to drive for a cup of coffee.

simply put another fantastic post, especially when you click on the pics and they are blown up...thank you for all you very great time and effort, especially on these smaller and in some way better shows, the magic is still alive with the feel of a "real comic book" convention.
Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks for the great reports! I attended the Aug 20 comic con in Richmond with my three boys and we all really enjoyed it. I bought an Archie annual #4 from Robert Griffin and enjoyed talking with a lot of the dealers. My oldest son picked up quite a few affordable Rawhide Kids and Sgt Fury’s for his low grade runs at several tables. We are in a couple of the pics. One with Guy Rose and the other at Robert Griffin’s table (long distance shot). Looking forward to attending again in the future.
Glad you enjoyed the show. The Leader will will be there for the November show.

Leader, it’s so refreshing to see your reports- especially after reading posts in echo chamber threads about whether Marvel Silver Age keys will increase in value and the beauties by the superficial and one-dimensional “investors” who have no clue about the beauties and culture of this hobby!
Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate it.

The Leader thought it was time to take all his far flung Memories, Articles and Expeditions and consolidate them into one handy location. So he created a new website to do that that can be seen at the link below which you can paste into your internet browser. Several of the webpage articles have a comment section at the bottom of the page and the Leader would welcome any comments.
Marvel File Copies from mid-60’s — any examples/help out there?
in Silver Age Comic Books

If you define a "Marvel File Copy" as a comic book you buy directly from Marvel and therefore never distributed in the usual way, then I have three of them I bought
directly from Marvel in the mid 1960s. I wrote a brief article about it for my website The Leader's Chronicles seen at the link below.
