Unless CGC was going anyways, you would be paying the facilitator for their time anyways.

Typically CGC and facilitators hope to make a minimum amount of money or have a minimum amount of submissions for a given show.

So if you can't find anyone listed currently as going, you might want to tell people how much you're willing to pay for a facilitator to show up....

I'll pay whatever's reasonable for their time and effort. I know there will be others there that would want such a service for the elusive Peter Laird. I've already spoken with the convention heads about getting someone if they were willing.

Wow @Wystan I was just looking the other day to see if Peter was doing any signings. Bummer though it would likely cost me too much to get somebody to witness his signatures there

I certainly expect to pay any authorized witness for their time and effort to get Laird's signature. The more people, the less it would cost. The hard part is finding a witness right after NYCC. Does anyone know an authorized witness in the area?

  3. Would like to get everyone's opinion:

Do you think I should get a TMNT #1, 1st printing signed on the cover or not? (only Eastman and Laird, of course)

It's such a nice cover and I don't know if it's bad, long term, or better to have the signatures certified by CGC.

    Your thoughts are appreciated.

I will be attending Megacon in Orlando.  What would be the process if I wanted to get a comic signed by both Chris Claremont and Stan Lee and verified by CGC for Signature Series.  I know last year the guys working with Frank Miller facilitated one of my books getting signed by both Frank and Stan Lee.  Will the process be similar?

Last I checked Stan Lee signatures went exclusively through
NYComics http://www.nycomics.us/. Contact them and they can probably get Chris' signature for you as well.
  5. Peter Laird signature

Now that Shellback Artworks has closed, is there anywhere to get Peter Laird to sign any TMNT books for CGC SS? I was starting to make plans for a trip up to Maine to meet Mr Laird at his annual signing and was frustrated to see that Shellback Artworks closed their doors in October. If anyone has any new information it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.
