What was he charging for the head sketches done on your books?
Did he have a long line?
$40 for sketch on the book.

Awesome! I am happy it worked out for you! What books did you get done? Any sketches? Was he selling any art/sketches/cover proofs?
He had pre-drawn head sketches and would do head sketches on books, for a small fee. No charge for signatures, but you only get 3 and had to go back in line. I had original books 1-10, Raphael, #3 NYCC, a couple 2nd prints

Good news for you
Just got an email....there will be a CGC facilitator there from Planet Awesome Collectibles
GL & Have Fun!
Thank you. I learned about that facilitator as well. Drove from DC and have all my books signed by Mr. Laird now. Worth it!!
Oh, and this pie he had laying around, as a joke

That is not going to motivate anyone to do anything. If you are serious, offer $50 a sig. I've done it before. It works as significant motivation. Also remember that there may be serious caps on the number of books he is signing. He has done that MANY times in the past.
Noted. $50 a signature it is. Any takers?

Unless CGC was going anyways, you would be paying the facilitator for their time anyways.
Typically CGC and facilitators hope to make a minimum amount of money or have a minimum amount of submissions for a given show.
So if you can't find anyone listed currently as going, you might want to tell people how much you're willing to pay for a facilitator to show up....
I'll pay whatever's reasonable for their time and effort. I know there will be others there that would want such a service for the elusive Peter Laird. I've already spoken with the convention heads about getting someone if they were willing.

Wow @Wystan I was just looking the other day to see if Peter was doing any signings. Bummer though it would likely cost me too much to get somebody to witness his signatures there
I certainly expect to pay any authorized witness for their time and effort to get Laird's signature. The more people, the less it would cost. The hard part is finding a witness right after NYCC. Does anyone know an authorized witness in the area?

Is anyone, or can anyone facilitate signatures at the Super Megafest in Framingham, MA – October 13-14, 2018?
Peter Laird is making a rare appearance. I'll even pay for your time.

Would like to get everyone's opinion:
Do you think I should get a TMNT #1, 1st printing signed on the cover or not? (only Eastman and Laird, of course)
It's such a nice cover and I don't know if it's bad, long term, or better to have the signatures certified by CGC.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

Is anyone, or can anyone, witnessing for CGC this Saturday (7/28) at the little Lock City Comic Con in New Haven, CT? There's someone there I've been trying to get for years.

Does anyone know how or when to get John Higgins signature on books? I'm having some signed by Brian Bolland and would love to also get Mr. Higgins.

Does anyone know if the colorist Petra Scotese (Goldberg) ever do signings? Or is alive? Can't find anything on her.
Thank you, in advance.

Brian Bolland and Alan Moore
Does anyone know of where or when (if even possible) to get Alan Moore and/or Brian Bolland to sign? I have a few Killing Jokes 1st printing that I've had in a box since I bout them in 1988. I've search and these guys are really hard to find.
Thank you in advance

I will be attending Megacon in Orlando. What would be the process if I wanted to get a comic signed by both Chris Claremont and Stan Lee and verified by CGC for Signature Series. I know last year the guys working with Frank Miller facilitated one of my books getting signed by both Frank and Stan Lee. Will the process be similar?
Last I checked Stan Lee signatures went exclusively through NYComics http://www.nycomics.us/. Contact them and they can probably get Chris' signature for you as well. -
Sad to hear but thank you schmidt. Im having this trouble with mamy my books from the 80s.'

Now that Shellback Artworks is closed does any know where to get Peter Laird to sign TMNT for CGC SS? I was going to go to Maine in a few weeks only to find they closed in October. So sad. I have a TMNT 1 I'd like to get signed.

Peter Laird signature
Now that Shellback Artworks has closed, is there anywhere to get Peter Laird to sign any TMNT books for CGC SS? I was starting to make plans for a trip up to Maine to meet Mr Laird at his annual signing and was frustrated to see that Shellback Artworks closed their doors in October. If anyone has any new information it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Yaaa. I wondered the same thing, so I ate the pie. Put the tin back in and glued it shut. Can't bring myself to throw it away. Too good of a story.
