    It's on two pages that are separated by several totally unstained pages

    Initially i thought it was but it's weird that the adjacent pages ( that face the stain when the book is closed) are totally normal.

    There is this linear stain on four random pages, not on the adjacent page... could this be a printing issue? The page does not look like it's been wet. How would it affect the grade?

    With all the crazy climate change issues such as flooding and fires recently , I wouldn't be surprised as a small percentage of books are getting destroyed yearly
